I pick up 11 dozen donuts every other Friday for my company and Evans is amazing. Always on time, great quality and everyone who works there is so nice!!
A great little neighborhood shop! Always friendly and fast. I was looking for a certain doughnut and there were none in the display case. The owner asked what I was looking for and then went into the back and made them fresh for me. I stop by there every time my route is on that side of town!!
Best donuts this is my family's go to if we want sweet breakfast and a great cup of Joe!
The icing on the cake was just all sugar, the cake I spent 40.00 on had no flavor, honestly Walmart makes better cakes then this place, very very disappointed and I got 6 donuts too, those was dirty and tasted like they was weeks and weeks old. Never ever again, I don't see how this place is 4.6 star was not good at all, was actually very nasty and I was very disappointed, let's just say I learned my lesson.
Great Doughnuts from an O.N.D. original . The staff are friendly and ready to get ya going in the morning . 45 and I've been eating their Doughnuts since I was a child .
Thank you very much for the wonderful birthday cake we had today from EVANS BAKERY. Everyone in our party loved it.
This is an old time bakery with real friendly people and everything here is wonderful the cream horns are known around Dayton to be the best
Great place for homemade bread and pastry. Very affordable and the owner and the employees are super sweet. If you are in Dayton, you really owe it to yourself to try Evan's. You'll be very pleased
Not many items at 7:00 am ; nothing was great not impressed
The pastries were not very tasty. They were also noticeably firm as if they had been made several days ago. I also did not appreciate the service, as an older lady waited on me. I handed her the money to pay for my items, but when held out my hand to get my change, she placed the change on the counter. What she did was disrespectful, and although I understand she did not want to touch my hand, she could have given me my change without touching, just as I did with her.

If you grew up in Dayton, you probably know about Evans Bakery on Troy Street. It is still family owned and reminds me of how ethnic neighborhoods have a unique environment. It warms my heart to go there (as well as Charllie's Deli just down the street on Troy). The suburbs do not have such feeling. There are special pastries that you will not find in other bakeries in the suburbs also. Besides those there are cream puff, chocolate esclairs, donuts etc. If you want a large number, order the day before.
Still looking good an exceptional bakery in the Dayton area...this isn't the one, but to be fair it was a bit late in the morning so they may have been sold out. LOVED the lemon donut! We just want to find fresh baked bread. Still worth a visit if you want to shop and support local shops!
Nice little neighborhood bakery. They however were pretty much out of everything by about 10:30. So, it pays to shop there early.
This place rocks! I am the kitchen supervisor for the Salvation Army Kroc Center and had a large order for an event yesterday and they hit it out of the park
Great donuts, pastries, cakes, pies, cupcakes, muffins. Reasonably priced, most have no minimum on quantity. Great customer service. Will customize most items to the way you wanted ?.
