We love going to Fu Mon Lau. I recommend all of the Hong Kong dishes, eg wonton egg noodle soup, salt and pepper grouper, crispy/pan fried noodles!

The food arrived hot. The crab rangoons were undercooked. Still doughie on the bottom. The filling you could actually taste crab. The chicken with pods was with brown sauce and I prefer white sauce. Still good and plenty chicken. The Mongolian beef was good and had lots of meat and a variety of vegetables. I prefer light onions and slightly sweet. Yes I am picky. ****You will not go wrong if you order from here. *I am only giving a 4 star due to the undercooked rangcoons.

I took my mom here who is very picky about authentic Chinese food. Her and I were both very pleased with the food and the plate presentation.

This is the best Chinese seafood restaurant you will find in Midwest. Food and dish selection is outstanding! They specialize in seafood and have an excellent selection of chicken, beef, pork and vegetarian plates too. I've traveled the world to find good food and I have to say is place is a gem. Recommend calling for reservations on weekends and they also have a small party room. Takeout is also an option. They have fresh seafood...as in it's still live so it doesn't get any better than that. Yes they do run out of product at times because it's that good. Tables and chairs are really comfortable and the bathroom is clean. Parking is also convenient. Food is served on real plates. They do offer beer and wine here too. Lighting is bright so you can really see your food. Prices are affordable and the portions are large.

Our visit started off badly. Thirteen of us met there for dinner. One of our group had made a reservation online thru their website. When we arrived they told us they don't take online reservations and they were booked up. That changed quickly when they realized we were a group of 13 and not just the four of us that got there first.
That said, this place knocked it out of the park! Everyone in our group was blown away by the food. The soups were excellent, the appetizers were two and piping hot, the entrees were delicious and plentiful. While the dishes came out of the kitchen one by one, that's easily overlooked when compared to the number of customers inside, customers waiting to get in, and of course the quality, taste, and temperature of the food did get to the table. I love to see how they perform on a slow night, if a place this good ever has one.

Demanded a tip, mediocre food, fish in dirty water with no room to move
Food was fine, service was OK to start with.
Waitress reached over our food and drinks, touching our glasses, to clear the table. While I appreciate the attentiveness to some degree... you don't do that. I still intended to leave a tip, but...
When the bill came, we put $0 on the tip line as tip with cash. Normal practice, we are far from the only people to do this.
She turns around and says to us “no tip?” I explained to her we tip in cash then she left us alone.
The sense of entitlement is insane. I intended to leave a tip but opted not to after this interaction.
(sidenote, virtually all restaurants I've gone to don't check your signed receipt until you leave your table, unless you are getting takeout)
There are several reviews with similar experiences. I am willing to bet the money they have lost in future patronage with people is significantly larger than what they may have lost in tips.
Lastly I am not a vegan, but the conditions the fish and crabs are in are deplorable. Water crowded and no area to move around whatsoever. Surprised they are comfortable keeping this in customer view.
TLDR: don't waste your time or money here, it's not good enough to them

Currently homeless. Rough times out there. Living in my car. Had a friend get me a hotel room for Thanksgiving and order food for me to be DoorDashed.
I ordered combo fried rice (includes shrimp) with extra shrimp. It had not a single shrimp. I called back and all I heard was an argument in another language, and they were mad at me for their dope show. Never got my shrimp.
You could hear the cook in the back screaming
The best vegie noodles

This place made me sad :/ the Thai pineapple fried rice was done terribly and didn’t taste like pineapple at all. I could tell they threw canned purée into the rice while it was cooking and called it a day.’my chicken lacked flavor overall. I only went here because I felt bad for this place :/ just go somewhere else
