Good food but prices are a bit steep at $15 for a sandwich with a handful of potato chips. Offerings are unusual and well done just needs some finesse. This could be a fantastic lunch spot if they did that and if the arcade welcomed some small businesses into its rotunda for interesting things to watch and do. As it is, there is just one other kitchen incubator in the rotonda area which everybody loves to visit. I can't understand why there isn't more of an effort to attract small businesses that would interest shoppers.

The food and atmosphere are excellent! Will be back again and again!

Was offered a Gluten Free option for brunch, after receiving the item and taking some bites were told that it may not actually be Gluten Free, then later told it was not Gluten Free. We were offered another option but the staff was unsure and seemed very frazzled at any sort of questions about menu items.

A big part of having a restaurant in 2025 is having a staff that is knowledgeable on Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten Free items, I appreciate the girl who called the manager but we’re still not even sure that the food we finally ended up getting was in fact Gluten Free. We were not offered a refund, despite consuming food that contained a known allergen.

Better indicators on the menu would really help future guests, and help to ensure this problem doesn’t continue to happen.

Stopped into Gather by Ghost Light with my family hoping for a good coffee experience, but we were met with total indifference. We stood at the counter for about five minutes — not a single greeting, acknowledgment, or even a glance from the staff. It was as if we didn’t exist. For a place that presents itself as welcoming, the lack of basic customer service was surprising and honestly frustrating. We ended up leaving and found another coffee shop nearby called Winans Coffee & Chocolate, where we were treated with the kind of respect and friendliness every customer deserves. Disappointing and unprofessional — won’t be returning, and I’d recommend others think twice before stopping in.

Great food and beautiful rotunda in the arcade. Service was excellent and very friendly. Bread was very tasty and Bloody Mary spicy!

Do not gather at the Gather unless you want to gaslit. The food was subpar, lukewarm, and over-priced. The hot drinks were lukewarm as well. The service is slow. But the servers were sweet people. And the scenery was beautiful. And the parking is terrible-- on the street. So, you have to find a parking spot.

After not finding coffee at the convention center we took short walk and found Gather tucked away with an obscure entrance.

There is an extreme lack of urgency among the staff. There were three people working and they seemed to be all doing their own thing. Which is ok, but when you have 15 people waiting for coffee, perhaps all of the staff could be helping barista. I.e. prepping cups, etc. it took 30 minutes for the time of order to get our drinks.

Also, this place is very nice and elegant. The workers do not seem to necessarily care about how they present themselves. There was one wearing sweat pants and sweat shirt, this doesn’t present the establishment well.

We truly loved our coffees. We tried original options from their ‘spring menu’. We enjoyed the phenomenal ambiance sitting under the glass dome courtyard.

Incredibly beautiful space with many types of seating options. The coffee selection is sublime as are the seasonal cocktails. An amazing addition to downtown Dayton

I'm gonna be a harsher opinion amongst the 5 star reviews, but mostly because I think the areas that were lacking could be quickly improved and weren't due to an off service.

Gather lacks good service - staff isn't very welcoming and the atmosphere is the one thing that can help you shake off that feeling.

The food is good, especially if they have what you like available. On the day we went they weren't serving the potatoes which made up half the weekend brunch menu. I decided to venture out and to order the biscuits and chorizo gravy - the taste was incredible, but my food had come out cold. The Monty bagel was good but missed something to make up for the price.

In addition to the food we ordered, we got coffee and a chai muffin. The muffin was fantastic. The coffee took quite some time to arrive, but it was good, and I felt it was worth the price.

Overall, the food and experience was okay. Was my experience worth $67 for two people? I think not. But as the beautiful arcade gets filled I have hope that little places like this improve and bring in locals who want to appreciate its beauty and history.

I'll give Gather another try the next time I'm downtown, and I hope it's better.

Great coffee, but not many locations for plugging in to work while enjoying coffee/food. Cute space to sit by front window. Street entrance with street parking. Available restrooms and clean. Vanilla iced latte $7. Great place to hangout with friends!

Gather Coffee - Where Great Coffee Meets Unbeatable Ambiance

Gather Coffee is an absolute delight! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by an atmosphere so cozy and inviting that it’s impossible not to want to stay a while. The ambiance has a way of making you feel at home, and it’s the kind of place you’ll find yourself returning to again and again.

Their cappuccino is nothing short of perfection—smooth, creamy, and expertly balanced. You can taste the care and craftsmanship in every sip. The sandwiches are just as memorable, packed with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or indulging in a leisurely meal, Gather Coffee always delivers.

And, of course, the coffee is spectacular. From the rich aroma to the bold, satisfying flavors, it’s clear they’ve mastered the art of coffee-making. Pair that with the warm and inviting setting, and you’ve got a coffee shop that’s second to none.

Gather Coffee is more than just a place to grab a drink; it’s a space to relax, connect, and enjoy some of the best coffee and food around. Highly recommended!

This is a gorgeous restaurant, bar, and coffee house. Not only was the restaurant itself beautiful but the atmosphere was pristine as well.

My partner and I went during lunch on New Year's Eve and received excellent service, drinks, and food. I even got a chance to meet the owner and his business partner who clearly have a lot of passion and love for what they're doing. All in all, if you're in Dayton, this is certainly worth a stop.

My partner got "the gem city" skillet (phenomenal!) and I got the "philly" (also amazing)! I ordered a half sweet vanilla/cinnamon cappuccino which had an appropriate amount of foam and wasn't too hot. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time and even though we were the only people sitting in to eat, we felt welcome.

Thanks for being awesome, Gather team, we need more businesses like you in the world.
