I hadn't been to George's since my parents were alive but always had fond memories of the place. Decided to support them after seeing posts about awful people stiffing them on food.I have to admit, I thought it was a bit unnerving to ask me to pay for my food ahead of time over the phone especially since some may be using cash, but I understood after they got ripped off.I ordered a meal that came with biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and bacon and added 2 pancakes. I did not like the biscuits and gravy because the gravy had a weird herby taste that I didn't enjoy. I can't rate the biscuits alone since they were all covered up with the gravy.The scrambled eggs would have been good but they were cooked in some oily substance that didn't taste good, butter or nothing at all would be better.The bacon was crispy and delicious! The pancakes were big and fluffy and tasted great. I would get pancakes and bacon from them again for sure.My partner had the Greek plate and the only complaint was that for the high price it should include more gyro meat and tzatziki. Everything was however cooked well and tasty.All in all I'm glad we stopped at George's and hope to dine there again!

Not many non chain Diners in Dayton Ohio. George's is fantastic, food is great no matter what you order, and great customer service. No wonders this place is always busy!!

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I believe my vegetarian food option was cross-contaminated with pork. I did inform the waitress beforehand of my dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, I became ill before leaving the restaurant (right after consuming my food).If it wasn't for this I would most definitely had given it 5 stars in all areas.

A local favorite, food was good, not great, prices are good except if you order Onion Rings or Fries with you sandwhich, Onion Rings were $3.25 for 5, one big, three medium and one small. Fries for $2.75 not much better.
