They have closed. They were trying to sell before all this covid stuff. Guess this was final straw. This makes me sad... this was my favorite breakfast spot. Everyone I took there loved it. Very sad.

Every time I was greeted by wonderful people and got a table very fast for a busy restaurant as this. Food and service is always amazing, never had a problem here. I highly recommend stopping by.

This place is a good ?restaurant if you want basic old-school breakfast and lunch fare with a few more unusual items, but it has its flaws. While the seating is comfortable, the decor is tasteful, and the staff is courteous and responsible, there are items here which are not special orders, but that are not listed on the menu, and the Latkes are called "German Potato Pancakes"... All-in-all a solid four stars, but I can not, in good conscience, rate it a five.

We decided to try Golden Nugget after finding decent reviews here. However, our experience was anything but decent. We waited a long time for a server to even great us. A wrong drink was brought out and it was less than pleasantly exchanged for what we ordered. We asked for extra napkins and received another container of syrup, we never got the napkins. The coffee is 2.39 a cup, no big deal. But if you're going to serve it in little cups and not serve carafes, be prepared to be constantly refilling. Our coffees were empty the entire visit without our server even asking if we wanted refills. My breakfast omelet was good and price was relevant. My wife's overpriced, cheaply made and cheaply served chicken BLT was another story. On top of our aggravation at this point, a couple sitting near us was looking for our server and asked another server, only to be rudely met with a ""well I'm not your server so......" Once our server came back around she decided to loudly announced after a table had left that they had only left a $2 tip. Yea, no kidding. The food is mediocre, service is terrible and overall professionalism is completely absent. I would recommend Waffle House over Golden Nugget all day every day.

First time being here and for 10a.m. it was very crowded. The hostesses sat folks rather quickly even with a slight wait. Food was a little pricey but the portions were big. I wish there was somehow they could keep the eggs hot longer. Food was good and I would go there again.

Violently I'll. Definite food poison. Sausage was under cooked. Actually pink in center. Food really tasted off. They are a very busy place. People seemed to enjoy it. I hope nobody else gets sick from this place.

This is the absolute best place for breakfast in the Dayton area. Great food and great service. Highly recommended!

Always good food, and service. They make the best omelets and french toast. The coffee is great as well

Good breakfast and friendly service! I was a little sad I couldn't order from the kids menu since I had gastric sleeve surgery and don't eat much. One has to be under 12 I believe. Though they where nice about it, apologetic and it was policy. Understandable. I'll definitely go back!

Always and still do love the food and it usually comes quickly. However when we went today we had a very rude waitress and it felt like we were bothering her by being there. She brought our food and proceeded to tell us not to let the 4-year old pour the syrup like my daughter and I had no common sense. Then when we were getting ready to leave a different rude lady came by and demanded we give her the display on the table that listed the specials. Maybe it’s time for a few people to retire!

One of the best reubens I've had, and of course the pancakes are great.

Used to go with my dad, step mom and my 2 kids. Dad took them a lot and they loved it. Is still run by the same people. Just in a different place now. Hadn't been for a long while. But went back and took two of my grand kids. They loved it too!

Parties of two get preferential seating compared to parties of one. If you’re going to eat here, bring a friend so you can get a seat in a reasonable amount of time. They may be too busy to seat you, and will seat others who have walked in 5 minutes after you’ve arrived.
