Went here based on a friend’s recommendation. We showed up on a Saturday expecting a bit of a wait, which is pretty normal. But to our surprise, there was no host or anyone at the entrance. We waited around 20 minutes, and no one ever came to greet us or even take our name for a waitlist. We weren’t the only ones other people were standing around too, just as confused. Eventually, we all ended up leaving without ever talking to a single staff member. Not a great first impression....
Most Excellent ribs. Get the full.rack or suffer regret. Shrimp cocktail perfect. The shrimp sauce is pungent not overpowering Ask for the dark bread. Salad is just lettuce. Choose another side.. No desserts. Go to Dorthy Lane Market for that afterwards. A must. Atmosphere is 1960, rat pack, mobster hangout quaint...but cool. Tables are tucked tight. Crowded always on weekends. Make a reservation.
Started dining here at a very young age (1980's). Even though the 20 ouncer was not a traditional steak, it has always been a favorite with our family. Last week, I discovered it is no longer on the menu. Add some content to the menu to warn steak snobs and mitigate risk of complaints, but please bring this steak back! It may not be for everyone, but this is a good steak!
