Excellent place to visit. Atmosphere is very friendly and family-welcome. Excellent food. I gave atmosphere 4 stars, not because of them, but my personal preference. We went at rush time and it was crowded and rather loud for my hearing issues. Again, that's on me, not Old Hickory
Hickory on Brown Street is the best around. Every time we go back home we gather up the family, usually it’s 6-7 people and go there for the ribs and the house salad. Oh how I miss that salad dressing. That stuff is so good.
My lady and I decided to try the 'Authentic Hungarian cabbage rolls'. I am half-Hungarian, and I know what cabbage rolls should taste like. What they brought out wasn't even remotely close!!!! They were wrapped in something akin to thin leather that you could hardly cut with a sharp knife!! AND---they were prepared without the first bit of sauerkraut!!! As I said before, NOT EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE!!!!!! Their other choices are great, but BEWARE OF THE CABBAGE ROLLS!!!!!!
