I’m compelled to share my recent experience at Kroger, particularly regarding the self-checkout area. I was surprised to see the older man who frequently operates the self-checkout still working there. His attitude has consistently been extremely rude, and it’s clear he doesn’t enjoy his job or interacting with customers.
During my visit this evening, I was checking out around 10:58 PM when he abruptly informed me, “you know, I can refuse to let you checkout after 11.” While that was frustrating, it wasn’t the main issue. I witnessed an elderly lady rush in with her dog food just after 11:01 PM. Despite her efforts, he flatly refused to let her check out her one bag of dog food.
It’s disheartening to see someone in a customer-facing role exhibit such hostility. If he dislikes working there so much, why remain in a position that requires dealing with the public? Kroger, shame on you for allowing this to continue. I’ve never encountered a store that would deny a customer checkout simply for being a minute late, especially when there were still several customers shopping.
What’s even more disappointing is that he was aware of other customers still in the store but chose to wait for them to approach the checkout instead of informing them of the situation proactively.
I hope Kroger takes these concerns seriously and considers how important customer service is to the shopping experience.

The Attorney General needs to honestly investigate these businesses over this digital coupon bs. I have three business degrees and they act like I'm the problem when I know how to use their system and the system isnt discounting items properly. They are blatantly and deliberately scamming people with this system.

Never able to locate items in this store due to how often they relocate items, website doesn’t match location and items constantly discontinued at this store along with incorrectly priced items..don’t even get me started on rude employees.. What has happened with Kroger?! Kroger+Greedflation

Went there right before closing time. It was seven or eight minutes till. Just needed oyster crackers for our meal. Rude old man refused to let me in for one item after I drove ten minutes to that store knowing I had time to get in and out. Never go back for sure

I have to get used to the new layout. The store has been changed up. They have new locations in the store. Its been a while since I've been n this location l. Still is a clean and friendly location to shop.

I will be taking my weekly shopping elsewhere from this day forward! The workers are so disrespectful if a ask anything especially the old white haired lady working self check out she literally rolled her eyes and cut me off twice speaking to me like a child completely uncalled for I spent anywhere from 250 to 400 a week in that place and can never get a decent person. I will be driving right past them to Walmart from here on I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND
Edit: 6/23/24 I asked an employee over in the produce how much the Mandarin oranges were. One price tag said $4.99 and another price tag said $3.99. He told me they were priced at $4.99 and I said well there are ones over there marked $3.99 and he just tells me someone made the wrong sign. Didn't bother to go over and correct it.
I usually go to Meijer but sometimes you can find some really good deals and I generally stick with just buying them at each store. The aisles seem too small for the volume of people they get, but oh well.

I USED to know where everything is ?? Just when you learn the store, you shop at; they go and change everything... from the frozen food aisle, to the Chip isle, to the canned goods., you name it, they flip the script and it stinks! STOP CHANGING THE SET UP!!!
