Visited the Dayton Xenia location this morning. They consistently have too few cash registers open. At 8:45am there was 1 chair checkout, and 5 self checks. There were 10+ people waiting in line, with full carts, for the self checks and 5+ waiting for the cashier. Customers should not have to wait 10 minutes at 8:45am to checkout.

Meat department is amazing. Dee is great to work with. We'll make the hour drive to shop there. Bruce from the meat department was very friendly and very helpful as well.

Only 3 check lanes open and employees were standing around talking instead of helping to bag on the conveyor lane to get the line moving. The line was wrapped around back towards the produce section, and it was only 9:30 am. This is ridiculous, worst Kroger I've ever been to, and I won't be coming back. Avoid at all costs.

Fast lines, friendly cashiers when you can find one open that is. It's mostly self checkout nowadays. Don't see baggers very often either. Everything I've shopped for has been easy to find at this location, with a few exceptions.

Dora the lady that works behind the bakery was rude to me when I asked her to help me with a cupcake. I wasn’t rude back I just walked away.

Why close the pharmacy end entrance before it even gets dark. 8 pm. Ask why can't I speak to a manager about keeping that end open???? Oh the managers leave at 8 pm too. How covieient. Realll?! Keep it open longer.

Great selection. Horrible staffing. A person cannot ever find help in the deli, or meat departments. Employees will see you needing help and will avoid you. Hire better or more employees in the future!

What a great Grocery Store! Very friendly and helpful staff! Love the obscure food selections by the Deli.

Clerk told me he couldn't do a simple propane tank exchange because they close in 40 minutes... Umm... 5 seconds to scan the barcode sheet that's right there at his station. Hand the key to the teenager collecting grocery carts, per the norm. Can't decide if he's just lazy or ignorant?

The aisles were well marked and wide enough to move easily. The cashier was wonderful!

I rarely write reviews and never a negative one. But after 15 years of faithfully shopping at this store and watching things get progressively worse in so many areas, I can't hold back from sharing my most recent experience. I was standing in a long line at the unattended "Customer Care" counter awaiting an employee to show up and provide customer care, when a Kroger employee (wearing a blue vest with a name tag) casually strolled by us and actually said, "Good luck finding anybody that works here!" She laughed and then said, "Oh, you weren't supposed to hear that." I was in disbelief and actually spoke to the manager and later called Kroger corporate to complain. They should pay attention because Sears, K-Mart, and many others are now history. I will never go back in this store again, and if enough people do the same, the day will come when all of us can tell Kroger, "Good luck finding anyone who wants to shop here!"

This location is my least favorite location to shop, but it is the closest to my home. After roughly 6PM-8PM they close down all checkouts except self-checkout. When shopping during the evening it's common for there to be lines going to the back of the store--there have been several times where I've just left my basket and walked out of the store because lines are so long.

I also experienced a hit-and-run incident where my driver side door and body panel were damaged when I parked next to a handicap spot. Parking lot is laid out weird and the area has many drivers that should've had there licenses revoked years ago--I always dread driving around this shopping center during peak hours.

Shelves at the Dayton-Xenia store seem to never be stocked and they are constantly out of items.

The Dayton-Yellow Springs location is a slightly farther drive, but I prefer shopping at that location over Dayton-Xenia.
