The food is delicious- from traditional pasta dishes to the specials, every dish is made for the eye and for the palate! The service is top notch, as well. Don’t let the unassuming location and exterior fool you; Mamma DiSalvo’s is dishing out amazing meals! (And the portions are huge! I weighed my leftovers when I got home… a pond and a half of food?!) I had the baked ziti with meatballs. It’s a simple dish, but so well executed in flavor and presentation. The truffle fries with garlic aioli were a great starter, and the cannoli are delightful! If you are in the area, make plans to eat here.

Good Italian restaurant. Portions are huge (there is an upcharge for sharing) but meals could definitely feed 2-3 easily. We started with the antipasta appetizer, very good and the small could easily handle 4 people, one of the best antipastas I've had.
We selected the Mamma's original lasagna and the baked ziti. By the way, the bread was my least favorite, needs more garlic, too much flavorless oil. However, meals were delicious and very large portions.
Can be busy at times, but even when busy, service is top notch. Larger than I expected inside, but they manage to squeeze in a lot of seating (booth was definitely a tight fit and not the most comfortable). Dining area is also very dim, gives that older, cozy, night club vibe.
Overall, highly recommend, food is authentic and delicious. Everyone leaves with take home containers! ❤️We will go back to try other menu items, they all looked delicious and it's hard to narrow your decision down to one!

One of the best authentic Italian joints in Dayton, OH!! Consistent take out for my family. Food is always hot and delicious, great selection as well. Make reservations, because this place is always busy ( for good reason)!!

We decided to try this place based off local people telling us how good it was. So we ordered it for takeout, it did not disappoint. They have their own takeout window there, pretty busy place But it made it pretty easy for us to get In-N-Out.
I ordered the spaghetti mama's sauce, it was very good. The sauce was right not too sweet, which is perfect. The meatballs were very good. My wife is the Alfredo person so she got that I as did my daughter and they added the chicken to it. My daughter said it was some of the best sauce she's had anywhere.

It is sad to discover that one of our old favorite Italian restaurants has clearly lost the understanding of what Italian food is. We ate there last evening and were very dissatisfied with the experience. Our server Taylor, who was new, did a great job providing top level service. Unfortunately, the food was sub rate. We had Chicken Picatta, a dish I have had many times, but this was the first time that I did not finish the meal. It was merely chicken soup over chicken (that was over cooked) and some pasta (that was sticky) and a few capers. I also have never been to an Italian restaurant or any restaurant that has not allowed a splash of a wine to try before buying a full glass. Usually that is good practice to save the house from wasting a full glass of wine in case the guest does not like the wine but at Mama DiSalvo's that is not allowed. Fortunately, the wine was okay, the only thing that was!
We were frequent guests at this restaurant 20 years ago but now, with the original family members not involved to make real Italian food the restaurant, in my opinion, has lost it way. Lucky for them the local people have no clue what good Italian food is, else they would not stand waiting!
Sorry Mama, we will not be back!

Crowded loud slow over priced and not even good food.
It came recommended sorry I accepted it.
I should have went to spaghetti warehouse like I had originally planned. I could have accepted mid grade all of the above and not spent $30 a plate

I have NEVER had a bad meal here! Everything is fresh and hot! The lasagna is a family favorite! I think it weighs 3.5 lbs! Lol. When they have it, I get this chicken and shrimp Scarpiello special!
Finally made it here to eat. The food was delicious. The service was great. We had truffle Parmesan fries(so good, almost ordered a second order) as an appetizer. I had spaghetti with meatballs. It was perfect. Meatballs melted in your mouth. Tender & juicy. My husband had rigatoni all’amatrician. The meat sauce was so good. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Our waitress, Debbie was so helpful & kind. Overall it was what I’d say was an authentic Italian dinner. Will definately be going back to try some other dishes.

I've ordered from her takeout multiple times and it has always been Excellent. Yes it may be a little pricey but I've felt it was always worth it. Was told the menu was changing. However normally I cant finish my meal Because the portions were always adequate. However this time there was minimal in both of your plates. Was disappointed.
