My personal favorite local Italian restaurant. Never have had a bad meal or service here. Always a staple in my home.
The restaurant was nice..but there were no other customers in deli&i felt like i had2 force someone2 help me
I’m convinced all the 5 star reviews just haven’t been to a good Italian restaurant before. The food was decent, but the portions were small and it was pretty pricey for what you get.
My main issue was the service was extremely slow. Waited ~20 minutes after being seated before the waitress came over, then the food took another 40.
After eating, we got served the check, and asked if they do a military discount. The waitress said yes and she went back with the check to adjust the price. She came back and the price didn’t change, like what? We were sitting there for over an hour at that point and just decided to pay it.
If this really is “Dayton’s Best Italian” like the signs say in the restaurant, I really pity Dayton.
Absolutely amazing. Bobby and the team knocked it out of the park. It’s not just one person, it’s everyone that makes it a great meal. The food was so hot and fresh you had to blow on each bite. The meatballs are to die for. And for dessert…the tiramisu was the best I have had in my 66 years on this earth. They just went to the top of my lists of GREAT restaurants in the tri state area!

Excellent food and service.
The food and service were good. I was a little put off by the ceiling for some reason. It looked old and in need of updating. But the bread and pasta were really good.
Mama DiSalvo‘s Deli and Wine Store is a gem. I tried my first Reuben here ! It was pricier than other sandwiches in the area but the roast beef, sauerkraut, and sauce was made in store by a lovely cook who checked in on me. I felt like i was at an Italian friends house; meeting their family for the first time. The sense of place was strong here and it stuck with me the whole day.
The food and service were really good. The atmosphere was nice. The wait was almost 2 hours. Make reservations at least a week or more out.
This establishment has proven to be Selective in who they want to cater to.They made it VERY apparent of their position. I called to make reservations for a party of approximately 6, I was told we did not need reservations. Upon arriving , we were told we could get a table but only had until a certain time to complete our meal because the table we were going to be seated at had reservations at a particular time.To me there could be NO valid reason for this foul move except for the fact that we were not acceptable for their patronage .This is not the only incident with this establishment but the most Obvious.I will Not try again and I will enlighten others of their tactics.’STAY WOKE’
We love this locally owned Italian restaurant.

We called to make reservations but were told none was needed, we get there lady ask do we have reservations we stated we were told none needed, she states she can seat us but we have to leave at a certain time because someone has a reservation for the table she is going to seat us at, then ask, do we still want to be seated, No thank you, Never Again Will we be back!!!!
They've made a few changes, most of which are for the best.
Seated on time. Server young energetic with good suggestions. Great service, great food. We will be back!
One negative, table was rickety and caused drink to spill while I cut my salad.
