This was some of the best food and drinks I have ever had. I have been a big foodie my whole life and recently became a vegetarian. Since then, I have been struggling with finding dishes I truly love, especially when eating out. Well, we went to Meadowlark for the first time tonight and they blew it out of the water! The drinks were tasty, the food was delicious and the service was amazing!! We will definitely be back again soon!!

I’ve been recommending this restaurant to friends for year. However, we went for my husband’s birthday last week, and our tip was changed from $13.10 (26.77% tip), to $43.10 (88% tip). Thankfully we received a notification, and will correct this with our credit card company, but make sure to check your charge if you eat here!!!

One of the few greater Dayton area gems. The food is deliciously creative without going too far. I try something new every time I go and after nearly a dozen visits, I have yet to have a bad meal or experience.

I picked Meadowlark by searching for my location, open now, and kid friendly. I’m not a spring chicken, and my dad is 30 years beyond me, so “kid friendly” usually gets me a local casual (cheap) diner or a national chain typically loved by the white hair folks. (Well lit, soft/no music, basic food selections, etc.) This restaurant is a gem! It is WAY nicer than i expected or wanted. There’s a definite boho vibe - the space, the people, the art (for sale). The menu is filled with creative takes on fairly familiar foods. With smaller appetites, we opted to split a burger. It sounded amazing with the detail of spices (rosemary & more) spelled out. Our waiter was super accommodating and let us order 2 of the side options. Garlic frites were a must have for a guy that LOVES all things garlic, and beet salad is my must-have wherever it’s offered. We each also had nonalcoholic beverages ($6 each) and we shared a pear cake. Smart idea, Meadowlark, showing me the desserts from the start - I chose my dessert before anything else! Everything was delicious, and good portions. The total bill for two was mid $60s, I think. (I was straining to see the check as my dad paid.) I would definitely go back, but… 1) I’d change into “decent” clothes instead of the scruffy stuff I drove 3 hours in, 2) I wouldn’t bring kids unless I were fairly certain they’re having a good day (ready to sit, able to remain composed, and trained to stay at my table) and 3) I’d dine on the early side to beat the crowd if you chose places based on your hearing aids. All in all, a really nice place and much closer to fine dining than either the exterior or search engine made it seem.

They're consistent. They change the menu for seasons. I had a shrimp puttanesca dish which was really good. Love the roasted beets with feta. Nice selection of wines.

I can’t believe I waited this long to try Meadowlark. Excellent food. A delight for the palate! Service was a little slow but the place was packed. The beet appetizer and frites were amazing. Had the pernil dinner special and it was packed with flavor. We will definitely be back.

We had an outstanding dinner and knowledgeable and joyful service (Mona was our server). We had the salmon and halibut and both were truly special. The basque cheesecake was the perfect ending to a marvelous meal. We will be back next time we are in Dayton!

We had an amazing experience, the waiter was great. He made Karen laugh and was very attentive. Now, I was meeting a fb I had never met. She was very impressed and I was happy to meet her as she was getting better. My girlfriend is a snob from Jersey and said it was the best pulled pork Sammy shes ever had. She had the lentil soup as which I tasted it was delicious. Patti, had the chopped salad with chicken. It looked delicious and she said it was duh. I had the chicken parm, I really like it, I'm pissed I didn't get the pork. The French fries were seasoned perfectly, plus they were extra crispy which I was grateful for. I had the chocolate cake, it was absolutely ridiculous, it wasn't overly sweet. They gave me a humongous piece and took the rest home. We drove two hours to meet Patti and was grateful to find Meadowlark.
