We’ve been twice, once with a toddler and once for date night and both times were phenomenal. Most restaurant experiences today leave a lot to be desired.. but our food was perfect both times and the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The prices are definitely a little more spendy than a usual dinner for us but the whole experience was more than worth it for the quality. The menu had so many options that looked good and I will most definitely be coming back to try different items. Our server also made sure that our food order was put in quickly when we were there with our toddler. I was blown away with how quick we got our plates. My only critique would be to put some berries and mandarin oranges in the fruit cup for kids :) my daughter isn’t a huge melon fan ha ha I would recommend if you have kids to come early (around 5/5:30) and you should have no issue getting a table. The other time we went a little later and it was busier but the service was no slower than any other restaurant during peak hours. Overall very thankful there is a place in Centerville like this!

The manager is distasteful and very arrogant

My family and I came here for a joint birthday dinner for my wife and father. The evening was going well until the end. My mom brought out a small birthday cake, and when she asked for plates, our server said it was "state law" that they couldn't allow outside food-a dishonest excuse for what is likely just a restaurant policy. We cut the cake ourselves with the utensils we had, not wanting to make a scene. When the bill came, we were shocked to see two charges: an $8 "cake plate fee" (for plates we were refused) and an automatic gratuity for our group of 8, even though 3 were small children who barely ate. When my mom calmly went to the front to ask about the charges, the manager immediately became defensive and unprofessional, raising her voice and escalating the situation. She even threatened to call the police over the incident. They did remove the "cake fee," but the entire evening was soured by the manager's hostility and poor handling of the situation. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. We paid and left, and will never be returning

Just attended the soft open. The decor is soft and comfortable with a slight upscaled feeling. Booth, Chair and bar seating is available as well as patio. We had the soft pretzel as a starter and it was huge, hot and accompanied with a delicious beer cheese. Entrees were the Toddy Coddy, Shrimp and Grits and the kids portion chicken tenders. We didn’t leave much on the plates and my 11 year doesn’t clear his plate much. I enjoyed the portions of cod and the dill tartar sauce was a nice touch. The Shrimp and Grits were tasty with a good kick. Menu is what we referred to Cajun meets MidWest.

I had my birthday celebration here during NATO weekend and Tim was our waiter and took such good care of us! Thank you for being so patient and friendly :) I’ve always had great food and service here! Sad you’re moving to Centerville but still close enough I’ll definitely still go to the new location. Thank you!!

We ate here on NYE, and it's one of the best kept food secrets in Dayton! The shrimp and grits would rival anything in New Orleans. Prices are fair and the food is amazing!

Very tasty grub. Top notch service and atmosphere. Kudos to Kate who had us laughing all night! Sadly, they are moving far away from the downtown area into a new location. Great for them as I understand the nature of business. Perhaps they could consider two locations? Downtown Dayton is becoming alive again with new housing and people coming back to work. With the nearby Schuster Center and the Arcade beacons for out of state patrons searching for a bite before an event! There are plenty of empty restaurant pads such as the old Unos on Main St. The Premiere and Stratacache building both have available establishments. The 2nd Street building and the PNC building has a beautiful location right by the Great Miami! I do hope they consider staying!

Mudlick is our go to place for consistent, good food. I tend to order the Burger which is my favorite. Great fries, ample salad. Atmosphere is good with very friendly staff. We like dark beer and had a great peanut butter milk stout - would like to see more dark beer choices rather than IPAs.

Tim was the best waiter! First time here and we were very impressed. We loved everything: the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The drinks were also very well done. Highly recommend this place. And ask for Tim!
