Stopped into Old hickory today Its been a while since I have been here. It had the most miserable looking people waiting on you. No smiles. I asked for dry rub ribs, I got ribs smothered in sauce and touch as nails. They were horrible. Needless to say I have no desire to return.

dont go to the carry out on woodman the food was old and dried up seemed like was left over from night before the ribs were very small very little meat

Kitchen was filthy. The first thing you see is a giant burnt black crud right behind the grill.
Staff was turse and felt like they wished I wasn't there. No communication on getting food (which is BBQ should be ready to box up and go).
Got the ribs, which were crunchy and dry with small bits of leather instead of meat. There was sauce on them not that it had a taste. Abysmal honestly when the McRib is juicer then your ribs.

I would give zero stars if I could. My husband loves this place and has been eating here for years. Today 9/6/25 he calls to place an order. He gives his name, the girl who answered the phone says we have you in the system as Darki…nothing like his name Derrick. This is so offensive and have lost a loyal customer. This is unacceptable!
I have been missing out. All I can say is Wow, if you're looking for good, simple, BBQ - This is like I remember, great taste! The staff is friendly, and helpful.

Worse ribs in the city of Dayton! Don't bother! However their pulled pork sandwich it's good & their chicken is good and their pork chops are good! I love their house salad dressing.
