Purely Sweet Bakery is amazing! This is the best gluten free and dairy free bakery. We love the cinnamon rolls, donuts, cupcakes, cookies, coffee cake (my fave) and have had 2 custom order cakes for birthdays. I’m so happy we found Purely Sweet!

The Sideline Shoppe

The most moist and delicious vegan cake! The buttercream was the perfect compliment. And the decoration was done so well! Looked as good as it tasted!

Just had such a wonderful over the phone experience with someone there, and she was soo sweet and helpful that it made me want to write the review and say how amazing your customer service is! My best friend is celiac and I was trying to do something sweet for her, and yall definitely made sure of that! Thank you 💕

This is more a complaint about the owner than it is about the baked goods. HOWEVER, in my opinion, the baked goods are truly not good. I was at Coffee Hub today, a local joint in Beavercreek where Purely Sweet provides baked goods. After hearing a conversation between the owner, I believe her name is Dawn, and a potential customer of hers (from what I could tell) I will never recommend this business to anyone. I was just studying with my friends when the customer started praising Dawn for “respecting and upholding traditional marriage values by not making wedding cakes for gay couples because people have been sued in the past for that.” More Christian talk happened, which look, that’s fine! freedom of speech and there’s nothing wrong with being christian! But when your speech or the speech you allow to happen around you in the public begins to be harmful and derogatory, especially as a business owner who works to serve the community, it’s time to not only reevaluate how good of a christian you claim to be but also look into what being a good business owner actually means. Discrimination based on sexuality harms everyone, and if your business is rooting for this kind of bigotry in the year 2024, you need to get a grip. Queer people deserve a beautiful cake for their wedding just as much as straight people do. If you are an ally or are LGBTQ+ yourself, this is not a business you want to support.

My husband and I hired Purely Sweet Bakery last month to create our wedding cake (a cutting cake and sheet cake) and we were very happy with the results! It was absolutely delicious and beautiful! I'm a vegetarian and wanted to be sure that the cake did not have any animal ingredients in it like gelatin or bone char. Purely Sweet Bakery is one of the few places in the Dayton area that specifically offers vegan and gluten-free options. Our cake was for a small wedding with 48 servings and we were really impressed with the size, quality, and value. It's hard to tell from the photos but the portion sizes were quite tall and generous! We still have several boxes of leftover cake we've frozen to enjoy again in future months. So many people were asking me at our reception where we got the cake because it was so delicious. It was also really easy to work with Dawn at the bakery. Very clear, friendly, and prompt communication throughout the process and they even delivered the cake for us, which was one less thing to worry about. I highly recommend Purely Sweet Bakery and can't wait to visit them again to try their other treats!

I didn’t take a picture of the brownie because it was SO GOOD I forgot the picture haha so here’s the empty box! My sig other found this place and it’s all gluten free. He brought me home this brownie and it was 10/10. Didn’t even taste gluten free it was just so good. He said they were so nice and I will be back so soon.

Today was my second time coming here and it was great! I came in with my boyfriend to try a surprise bag from the “Too go to go” app last week and we both enjoyed our first box so much that we came at 3pm today for a second one! I am glad we were able to try some of the food from the app because it gave us a chance to try different things while also helping prevent food waste. We ended up buying the Pumpkin coffee cake and carrot cake donut as well and it was so delicious! 10/10 recommend😁

This is definitely our new favorite bakery here.
The staff is very nice and personable and I believe the owner herself(at least I think it was her) gave us our boxes from the back and was very informative and nice. Owner or not, I’m just happy everyone was nice :) I think this place is awesome to try out even if you don’t have any food allergies!

We had a custom GF cake made so our son who is allergic to wheat and tree nuts could enjoy it as well. The decorations and flavor were fantastic. It was really nice to finally be able to tell our son he could have the same cake as everyone else. Such lovely customer service as well. Could tell the allergies were taken very seriously. 🩷

They made my smash cake dreams come true for my daughter’s first birthday! She has a dairy sensitivity & egg allergy, so they made a vegan smash cake for her. I sent them my ideas and they could not have made the cake any cuter! It was absolutely perfect! It tasted as good as it looked. And they were so kind to work with!

We were visiting the area for a birthday party, and I didn't feel up to making a GF and Dairy free treat for some members of my family. I was excited to find PSB and get to experience saying "yes!" To a child who usually hears "no, I'm sorry, but that's not safe for you" - the treats were absolutely delicious! I wish we were local or had a place like this back home. But we will definitely visit every time we come out this way!

Dietary restrictions: Everything was gluten free and most things were dairy free and or vegan. Every item was.clearly labeled as well - whether in the case or individually wrapped.

We just had our first experience at Purely Sweet/Coffee Hub. Staff was super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, as we went in there with multiple dietary restrictions, one being tree nuts. They were able to tell us immediately what to avoid. (I do wish they were labeled for tree nuts, as they are GF / V.) This place being a dedicated GF place is everything for me. Celiac's Disease (& dairy intolerance) prevents me from enjoying eating out, and especially eating baked goods not prepared at home. The breakfast sandwich was great, and we tried several sweet treats. They were almost all SUPER sweet, but that just allowed us to save some for later! We will definitely be back.
