I would love to give this restaurant 5 stars but the food prevents me from being able to do so. Very friendly, hospitable, and accommodating staff. Great drinks. Wonderful atmosphere. I just feel like for the prices the food should stand out more and perhaps there should be hair nets worn in the kitchen. A member of our part found a hair in their meal. The food was extremely bland to the point that I boxed it up to reheat and season at home. No seasoning whatsoever...on anything that I ordered. Im glad I boxed it up b/c I got home and my husband pulled a hair out of my brussel sprouts. To me that is unacceptable. I would have been fuming had that been the steak that was twice the price of the meal that I ordered. I'm leaving this review b/c I'm hoping these aren't habitual mistakes and hoping it's something that can be easily fixed. I'd love to give it a second chance. I just have my reservations about ordering food next time.

My dad was a bar fly. He passed recently. This isn't your typical place the food was amazing. We actually reserved a back room for food services after the viewing of my father. Despite the short staff the service was polite and kind. The food was great and the privacy made it even better.

I feel a little bad about giving this review because I was with a group. What I can offer is based on the meal which was non-plused. I had the Ruben sandwich which was terribly dry and the sides were not great. And the service was mediocre at best. So, I may give them another try outside of a group situation and another meal choice. 🤔

My husband and I love Ray's. The food is excellent. We also love the take-home wine tastings that are available most weeks. We recently attended a champagne tasting event that was very fun and informative.

I’ve been to Ray’s many times… for food, cigars & freezing trips into their beer cave for some Old Speckled Hen English ale (the only place I can find it). Their beer & wine selection is unparalleled in the north Dayton area, too!! I have never been disappointed with any of the above!! Very accommodating staff, too!! Don’t take my word for it…. Experience Ray’s for yourselves!

My wife and I ate dinner at Ray’s this past Monday night on our stay over in Dayton on a road trip to Ft Worth, TX. I had the fish special and my wife had the bacon burger. Both of us were very pleased at the quality of our meals, the attentive service and the pleasant dining environment. Without reservation, I would recommend this dining experience to any traveler going through the area.

We are in town with friends for a dog trial and were thrilled to find Ray's with their dog-friendly patio. We were immediately greeted with a bowl of dog water and the dogs received a special treat. The patio is large, enclosed, and shaded. We had some dietary restrictions in our group but everyone was able to find items on the menu and we all thoroughly enjoyed our selections. We split the spinach artichoke dip and the Dig the Fig pizza as appetizers. Our entrees were the portabella sandwich, roasted turkey sandwich, spaghetti bolognese, and the Taste of Italy pizza. We will be back!
