Red lobster just isn't what it used to be, 20-25 years ago. The steaks are flavorless, the lobster bisque was more bisque than lobster, and the service was lackluster, to the point that I felt sorry for some of the employees. I'm glad the restaurant didn't close down, but something needs to change.

I decided to celebrate my birthday at Red Lobster, just like we used to when I was a kid. My visit got off to a rocky start because the restaurant was direly understaffed. But once seated, our server Odessa saved the day! She did whatever it took to make sure we enjoyed our visit. John also prepared all of our meals deliciously.

The jumbo shrimp was fantastic, and so was the key lime pie. Ask for Juan to be your server. He is very attentive and nice. The restaurant was fairly busy, but we didn’t have to wait more than 5-7 minutes for a table.
