Always had bad service. Steak and shake is so good for taste and price. Why ruin all that hard work with bad service ?

Server was trying very hard but was only one working the whole dining room and they were busy. This caused server to forget some items but again she was trying the restaurant was a but unkempt and needed some deep cleaning I am sure due to understaffing

I like steak and shake but this one needs major help! I would give it 0 stars if that was an option. There was 1 waitress at 10pm on Saturday night. Every table was dirty [including the one we were seated at] and the staff was screaming at each other in the back. I had to ask the waitress to clean our table.

Stopped in yesterday (2/13) and the assistant /Mgr welcomed us and took order. We both had the 4 for 4 deal, but the Chocolate cookie never arrived, service was terrible, we were not even offered a refill on our ice tea. This place is the cleanest in the Dayton area, but service was the worse. Another Steak 'n Shake crossed off our list. Pretty soon no stores will be left to visit!

The burgers are good the prices are great, especially the 3.99 menu for the thrifty economical. This would have been a 4 star except the fries are always overcooked and hard other than that the complete package is good. Oh and the shakes are very good as well.

Food ok. Service leaves much to be desired. Server has ear buds in the whole tine. Forgot beverages until after food was brought. Got shake after the meal was over.

This steak n shake is literally a joke. I've never written a review for a restaurant before, but I felt like this time it was need it. First the service was horrible. And when I say horrible I mean the worst of the worst. I was with my family and our waitress brought pancakes for my little brother without syrup. He was so hungry and to see that he couldn't eat because of the need of syrup he started to cry. Btw he's 5.
Excellent service and the meal was great. When the meal arrived they was a little slow about fixing the two shakes we ordered, but was a good experience.

The absolute best I have ever had.the cleanest steak and shake ever. Spotless. Busy no wait. Extremely friendly. Wheel chair accessible.handycab restroom. The manger was OUTSTANDING. I WOULD RECOMMEND it to any one for a quick bite, a cup of coffee a milk shake or family meal

There was one waitress, most of the tables still had dirty dishes on them. They locked the restaurant doors after we left, about 2 pm. Food and milk shake were good.

I just went to get some food. Ordered and waited in like for 30 mins. People ahead of me left. I get my food and I get mac and cheese instead of chili mac. I said this isnt what I ordered. Refunded me for it why idk until I wait few more mins and I'm asked what I need. I was refunded 4.50 out of 13.91. Finally i was told no meats for chili so I said take this cold food and give me my money. The MANAGER refused to refund the rest of the money to me. No one ever gave me a recie

Where do I begin? This place is a joke, service is substandard, food is okay, shakes take way too long and you may as well just camp out waiting to pay for your meal. I know this isn't a 5 star gourmet restaurant but if I was the Owner I would have to fire every last employee and start over fresh.
