Had a fantastic time at the century bar! Atmosphere was sensual and inviting. Initially was indecisive of what to drink, but Molly and Grace came up with the perfect mixture. Great vibes. Definitely would recommend the paper airplane cocktail.

Grace and Molly are THE BEST, I can’t think of better bartenders in the country. The French 75’s were so good and they even give good advice. I don’t even need a therapist, I just need liquid courage with grace and Molly. Love u girlies.

Im not even a bourbon guy, this place is very cool. Old bar, a thousand bourbon options, very mature atmosphere and drinks arent crazy. I bought 3 old fashionds for under $40. Bartenders know there shit but arent cocky bastards. Great spot.

Came here about a week ago with some friends and right off rip we were given attitude by the bartender. He was just incredibly rude. When my friend ordered a Glenfiddich 12 year, he shouted at us because he didn’t hear us say 12 year. He then proceeded to give us the wrong drink, Glenlivet’s, to which his response was that was what we ordered. It was not. As I remember there weren’t even additional options for the Glenlivet. It also costs more. We also never clarified with him whether we were ordering together or separate. So naturally he put all four of us’ drinks on mine without asking. Needless to say ruined the entire experience which is a shame considering how nice the physical location is. For the amount I ended up having to shell out, the service needs to be better. Mind you we never acted out of line once, not loud, not rude, not poorly dressed, even with Mr. Sunshine behind the bar. May be back someday, it is a cool bar, but if I see that guy it’s a no go. Just can’t tolerate that kind of disrespect.

The longer I stayed, the more I realized there's a lot of room for improvement for this place
Extensive whiskey selection & great options for cocktails. The feel is definitely going for upscale cocktail bar. Sadly, the service doesn't match. The bartender might have thought that he personality was upscale, but it was actually rude.
The liquor store also sells whiskey so maybe skip this spot

Atmosphere has changed a little from dark warm whiskey vibes to a little lighter with a little more focus on cocktails. Still a beautiful place.

Good bar, that lacks any level of commitment to service. Bartenders are talented but obviously not paying attention at all times and seem to be less than enthusiastic to make something that matches someone's tastes. Good for bourbon/whiskey lovers but probably not a place for folks who want more care or attention to the drinks they are drinking. Not the best bar in Dayton by a wide margin.

I stopped by Century Bar on a cold Tuesday night while in Dayton and had a great experience. I was just looking for a good bourbon and ended up with even better conversation.

Nate and Grace were both easy to talk to and made the place feel welcoming right away. I really enjoyed talking with Nate about the history of Century Bar, the origin, and how they expanded locations in the 2020s. With Grace, it was fun hearing about her growing appreciation for bourbon and learning alongside her.

As a traveler, it’s always nice to walk into a spot where you feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely welcomed. This felt like one of those places. Looking forward to stopping back in and continuing the conversations next time I’m in the city.
