Troll pub is a must every time we visit our college kids at Dayton. It's always great and I tried the Kentucky bourbon ale on draft for the first time here. It was excellent, just like the rest of our meal.

Overall experience was awful. We had made a reservation. Stood at the host stand for maybe 10 minutes while workers walked by avoiding eye contact. Eventually got sat at a random table where the bar tender took our drink and food order. We did get our drinks. Almost an hour passed and we didnt get our meals. No refills. So we got up and left. Service was awful. Don't know that we'd ever go back after that experience.

Food was great, especially the jalapeño tartar sauce. Service was friendly, professional, and timely. We will be back.

We had a great time at The Troll pub!! There were 3 of us, 2 senior adults and a 12year old. The building itself is awesome! All old brick and fun decor. Our waiter , Austin, was an absolute gem! He made the experience fun and answered all of our old lady questions about the space and food with a smile and good humor! He's a keeper for sure! We got a chicken sandwich, Troll burger, and Buffalo chicken wrap along with frickles for an appetizer. Only complaint might be the wrap was a little dry. We didn't notice too much, as the beers from the list were cold and wet!! Be sure to post your pic with the troll on social media and got a free appetizer!

Stopped in for a quick bite at the bar and had a great experience. Anthony and Brian were awesome—super friendly and made sure everything was just right. The Reuben and fries hit the spot—fresh, flavorful, and just what I was craving. The Spicy Bloody Mary was packed with flavor and came with a whole little garden on top. Can't wait to come back and try more!

We were waited on by one person. Another served. And had to make inquiries and to how much longer it would be for our meals to be served after we were there 20 minutes. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Did not receive what I ordered. No tip left. Will not visit this place again.

The quality of food prep has gone way down here since our last visit. There was an over abundance of pepper on everything and fried items had not been drained well and were soaked in the stuff (oil). Server was very attentive and kind though.

Because of our wonderful server and the delicious food we would return again but only if the music was not blaring my 11 year-old grandson ended up with a horrible headache. It was Easter Sunday and a hard rock blaring through the dining room was extremely unacceptable. It showed complete disregard for the gas. However, our server did ask that the music level be turned down which it was although hard rock continue to Blair. A good management company will assess the event the time of day and the age group of the guest before they decide to choose a certain genre in music.. this restaurant has a wonderful opportunity to increase its business substantially, but is really missing the boat.

Wrong food came out. Had to ask for utensils and napkins. Got the sense the server had no interest to be there. Music was as incredibly loud for a family atmosphere. Food was mediocre at best. Big pass!!
