EVERY SINGLE THING we have eaten at this bakery is delicious!
This is so worth the trip. We had to wait in line for about 20 minutes but everything was phenomenal. I'm usually fairly critical of food because I am a baker and this was just as close to Paris as I've gotten in a while.

Took a little road trip to Val’s this morning, and was so thrilled with everything I ordered! The strawberry mascarpone croissant was hands down the best pastry I’ve had in my life. It was sweet, buttery and had so much flavor. The cookie butter cube was also incredible, and the oatmeal chai cookie was so sweet and delicious. The coffee was great as well and I love the addition of the fall menu. Absolutely worth the hype, definitely stop by if you’re thinking about it!

Phenomenal pastries and baked goods. The coffee is also great - best cappuccino I’ve had in a very long time.

Absolutely delicious! Such a wonderful bakery in the heart of Downtown Dayton. Had a line to open the place at 10am on a Sunday, but even by the time it died down, there were still plenty of pastries left. The garlic chive cream cheese croissant was my favorite, but everything we tried was both beautiful and delicious. Highly recommend stopping in!

Best bakery in Dayton!!! Just picked up a customer order for my sisters baby shower. Mini scones & butter tarts! Omg to die for, literally.
We need more Val’s around the state is all I wanna say. The staff is so nice and professional. The food and pastries are incredibly delicious. I do love their coffee options. I wish that they had different sizes of coffee cups instead of just one small size and the building seems to be a little cold during summer.

Typical millennial business; very expensive & closed most of the time.

Absolutely amazing pastries best in town and one of the best pastry shop I’ve ever been to!!! Friendly lovely diverse and hardworking group of people working there!! Awesome creative drinks and seasonal menu! I live nearby so prefer to come during the week when the crowds aren’t there and they’re not sold out as fast. Only wish is that they were open later for the days I can’t make it in the AM/ early afternoon:)

Vals is one of the best bakeries I've been to, ever. The flakiness of the croissants, the layered butter giving this sweetness that lasts through every bite. So light, while not being all air. Filling and decadent. Their coffee goes so hard too, so dont forget to get yourself something fancy, and if thats not your bag, their $2 drip coffee is some of the best in town. Will sorely miss Vals when I move from Dayton, but until then, I visit at least twice a month.

We are incredibly blessed to have an establishment as lovely as Val’s in Dayton. It’s a safe haven from the busyness and bustle of the world outside. Every time I walk through the door, I’m greeted with the aroma of delightfully sweet pastries and hint faint coffee in the air. The atmosphere is as relaxing as the pastries are delicious, with high ceilings, cozy furniture, and lush green plants throughout the space. I find myself here almost every other Sunday just to see what’s new and get away for a while. When I’m here, I feel at ease. A tip for anyone planning a trip: You can always order online to guarantee the items you want, but you can always just walk into the store. On weekends, the length of the line may be a coin toss, but in my opinion, it’s always worth the wait.
Items I loved: Ube cruffin, loxxy croissant, twice baked garlic cheese croissant, pain au chocolat with coconut, strawberry mascarpone
