Can’t say enough good about this place. First time in Defiance on a school sports trip and I went with the Champezana(sp?) Omelet and was filled and happy with the flavor! Make this a staple for any visits to Defiance.

The breakfast and service new is AMAZING!!!! 🤩 I got the blueberry streusel French toast and they did it in a meal with the eggs, turkey bacon and potatoes. I can never find a place that does that for me! Usually it's strictly only eggs, toast, and sausage or something like that. But they are very accommodating. I can't wait to go again!

I don't live locally as we move a lot, but I did live in this area for a couple years. Every time I travel back here (this time included) to visit friends, I make it a point to visit the Pancake House at least once (usually more times than that). I love the food here and the service is always top notch! Prices are decent and it has a laid back atmosphere. You always feel welcomed and the food is delicious.
Great home town restaurant. Servings are huge. Service was awesome.

Service was very slow due to a large carry out order...would've been nice if that had been communicated. Had to wait for sugar for coffee. Biggest downfall was improper names of menu item. Chicken fried steak is a southern dish....which doesn't actually have chicken in it....it's made with beef. When I pointed that out....waitress was determined to prove me wrong. The chicken cutlet which I received was ok....but not what I ordered. I asked waitress to pass information to management....highly doubt that happened. I won't be back.

Offer the gift certificate to anyone who is needy.....I was not looking for freebies again....thank you....and you have a great day too.

They have remodeled since the last time I visited and even paved the parking lot. I used to dread trying to find parking. Food may even have gotten better.
Update: 8-16-25 Still have yet to have a bad experience.
