We were plenty surprised with our first visit ever to El Mezcal Mexican Restaurant! This restaurant brags of being traditional Mexican and Tex-Mex, but it’s really hard to decipher the origins of the style cuisines primarily focused on! It seems they take a potpourri of styles to create their own… one cannot make out from which of the 32 Mexican regional styles are offered either Sonoran, Michoacánes, Tlaxcalan, Oaxacan, Yucatánes, or so many others. But their offerings...
Service was great. Place is nice and clean. Chips and salsa great. My hard taco was delicious. But my husband, he said his tamale had no taste, no kind of flavor and he was even less impressed with his tacos. He always, no matter where we go, gets 3 tacos, carne asada, with onions and cilantro, corn shells. He was very very disappointed and said the meat was still red. 🤦🏽♀️ And I read so many reviews beforehand.
This is our go-to Mexican place. At least once every 2-3 weeks. The food is incredibly flavorful, the staff are always friendly. We do usually do take out here, never had any problems. Anytime we've eaten in, the staff has been upmost friendly and on top of everything. The fajita nachos are shamelessly addictive.
