Another business on "The Compound" where the quality is what gets compounded in lieu of actually quality and attention to detail. Also, why is it hotter than hell inside all the time?

First time eating here a week ago and I ordered the mac-nificent sandwich and lord it was so delicious. The pretzel bun, the bacon, everything was absolutely delicious! The fries were one of the best I've ever had. And waited about 15 min so I definitely recommend this place!

We go here a lot! Food is awesome. However, the ice cream machine is empty a lot of the time. Very irritating to have a good dinner with your family, then your kids are upset and you have to manage that. If the ice cream doesn’t pertain to your group, then who cares! But if your kids are looking forward to it, be prepared to jockey their emotions 🥴. 5-stars cause the food is really good, but I’m starting to have to pack tissues when we eat here.

GREAT wood fired pizza! Also serves the local breweries beer (nice selection of styles). I had a golden BBQ chicken pizza (Chicky Q) that was outstanding! Lots of other food choices (wife had the cubal sandwich she loved). Highly recommend Fire Stone when you're in Defiance.

The rubber duck claw machine at my 50 cents and gave back the other half so i asked for help only for the employee to twll me to wait for the manager a long time has passed without the manager reimbursing me my 50 cents my food got cold by the time she gave me the money and now here i am eating microwaved fired stone because i had to wait forever over 50 cents i guess i got reimbursed with another 50 cents but come on it doesn't take too long to hand someone 2 quarters...
Also reheated onion rings are disgusting and also so is a heheated burger... welp there goes my money all for 50 cents...
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly infact one of the most kid friendly places I know

Food was on point tonight. Hostess asked if we wanted to sit at the bar, which was fine but there weren't two seats together and seemed frustrated when we came back and said no. Lastly, let's talk about the air conditioning . . . Or lack there of. No ventilation, air movement or ac. Customers and staff alike were fanning themselves all night long. Smoke from the pizza oven made the dining room foggy. When it's 90+ degrees and humid outside, your restaurant needs ac.

Great food and great service. My favorite is the Smokey Smash with Asian sauce instead of the mayo sauce.
Just wish they still had the poutine.
Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids. They have a board game/toy shelf, and the atmosphere is such that a somewhat noisy child is not disruptive.
Several members of my old fraternity planned on getting together for a few drinks and food. We all graduated fifty years or more ago. It appeared from the start the two managers did not want us. The female manager called us belligerent at one point. We had told them we would probably have six people. Well, eight finally showed and at that point the hostess was told by the mangers to give us our bill and then came and told us to leave. Reason, we wound up with two more people then we told them. The service was great, the food good. The mangers were the worst I have ever experienced and I have been to countless number of establishments in my 75 years. I will never go back to this place.
Thank you for your response. Question, how do you expect your customers to know your rules? We were seated and given menus. Again, the two managers were totally unprofessional. There is a proper way to handle given situations and your managers were far from knowable on property handling matters. They were rude bottom line. You stated you hope we would give you another chance. It will be cold day in he.. before I even think about crossing your threshold.
I watched as the manager on duty on 8/16/24 was extremely rude to a group of gentlemen sitting on the patio last night. It was unfortunate as I had heard good things about this place and up until that point, my experience was positive. Having previously worked in the restaurant industry and the last 30 plus in retail, this was unacceptable behavior on her part. Please retrain your staff.
