Been getting Penso’s Pizza Dover since I was a kid in the 70s. Our area has several different family pizza shops that are good, but none can touch Penso’s. It’s the pizza I judge all others against even when traveling. It’s not a fluke that they’ve been in business since 1936.

Really great tasting pizza! The sauce is amazing the crust, has a great fresh flavor...the cheese is absolutely delicious...you can tell it is made of high quality ingredients, and there is pride in every part of the pizza. Definitely a top tier pizza.

what can i say? a cash only pizza shop in my experience is usually a sign of great pizza... pillowy dough-not too dense with a little chewiness. sauce didnt give me heartburn either. not too sweet or over seasoned, quality pepperoni... all around quality pie. i'll be back.
This tiny pizza shop is the best in Dover. Hands down, this is what pizza should taste like. Even the crust is dang good. Moved to Dover in Sept and have been trying to find decent pizza and finally found it at the corner of Front and Race St. There is a reason they are around from 1936.
