The ribeye and sides were phenomenal. I was the only person at the bar most of the time, so my service was excellent. The employees seemed super busy and a little loud and distracting when they were in the bar area.

Service was great, but fizzled out after we got our dinner. Food was alright, but definitely not worth the price tag! When I order a $50 steak I want it to taste like steak not roast beef. Mashed potatoes needed a little more flavor. The fries and the s'mores birthday dessert were the best tasting items out of our whole meal. Main issue I had with the service was they never said what the birthday dessert was, they just brought it out. I definitely advise any restaurant from doing that since you never know if someone is allergic to something in the dish.

Our food was absolutely perfect. The only downside is we sat at the bar which means a bartender was our server. Usually not an issue however this particular worker seemed to care more about pouring drinks and socializing than waiting on a table. Disappointing as we were celebrating a birthday. No dessert was recommended either.

We have been coming to this Hyde Park for 30 years but our last two experiences have not been any where satisfying in comparison. Yesterdays visit was worst than the previous, we made reservations as we always do. They took us to our table and I shared our guests would prefer a boot, the man who seated us, did not act if he heard me so I said it again without any response. The two people came in and were taken directly to booths. I said again to my husband Loyd enough for them To hear, not sure why our request for a booth is not an important request. Our guests arrived and they stated booth would be better but this is ok. I ordered a 8 ounce filet and it was full of un chewable meat. They could clearly see that I had many mouthful of inedible steak on my plate. They apologized and stated, sorry must be a bad cut. I ordered my steak medium well and never an issue. A few minutes later they bring me what looks like a 4 ounce steak, I cut into it and blood drained from the steak over the entire steak. It was rare and I pushed it away, asked my husband to eat it as the site disgusted me. He took one bite and again and my husband never complains, the filet was worse than the first onen and he spit out the tough inedible meat. Need I say anymore

I was there on back to back weekends. Once for an early Valentines, & once on my own. Can't say enough about the service & food! The Herbstreit, which is a 22 oz. bone in Ribeye was right up there with the absolute best steaks I've ever had! Whenever I come back to Columbus, I'll definitely pay a visit...
Hyde park has always been a family favorite. The staff is always pleasant and the food is fantastic. I'd recommend the urban Meyer steak, lobster Mac and cheese, and the garlic mashed potato's. If you like shrimp the colloidal shrimp cocktail is amazing! Highly recommend going here.

My wife and I had a wonderful time celebrating Valentine's Day at Hyde Park. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The ambiance was perfect for a cold winter evening with the dim lights and fireplaces throughout the restaurant. The only issue we had was my steak had to be sent back twice as it was undercooked both times. The staff went above and beyond to make it right. Everything else was cooked to perfection. Loved the lobster tails!!!

Our food was excellent. We sat in the bar which was not planned as I put in for a booth for my reservation and found they "didn't have one" for the reservation I had made. But we sat in a booth in the bar which was fine. Our server was also bartending but spent more time behind the bar than serving us. We waited long intervals between seeing him so that could absolutely improve. The server didn't acknowledge the birthday we were celebrating but was able to acknowledge regulars and spend time with them. There should be a balance. Our food was excellent so compliments to the chef. Overall, we'd be back but would expect 5 stars across the board.

Atmosphere and Service were excellent. Our waitress was fantastic, timing of courses was spot on and she was very attentive. Food was very good. My wife had the surf and turf and both the steak and lobster tails were perfect. My lamb chops were perfectly cooked but were a little tougher than the last time I had them. Sides were excellent as always (Au Gratin potatoes and spinach with mushrooms). Overall, for a $300+ dinner for two with cocktails, wine and dessert I was a little disappointed. We have dined here many times but not in the last few months. Overall, the restaurant is still top notch but for the price I expected a little better.
Overall good . Martini was good. Not many people in and was surprised that bar doesn’t offer complimentary bread like the tables nearby
