I made a reservation online, and that did not matter at all. We were waiting just as long as folks who had just walked in, and I requested to not sit next to others at a grill, to have a regular table (as this was a date) and they sat us at a full table with strangers anyway. Our waitress was phenomenal, but the host staff were kind of rude. The food itself was good though, I really liked the steak.

Food was good. Disappointed in the amount of vegetables they gave as a carry out. Mostly rice and maybe a half cup of veggie which contained mostly bean sprouts. I had one little piece of zucchini , 2 tiny shavings of carrots, one little broccoli and onions. We wanted to start using them for work lunches but unfortunately that will not be happening.

Came in today for a late lunch before driving back home to the Youngstown area. I eat here maybe 5-8 times a year depending on my travel schedule and Kyoto has never let me down...today was simply another great meal. Splurged with the Fillet and Scallop Combo with the egg yolk sauce for the scallops and it was all cooked perfectly.

My family of 6 (including 2 small children) came in on a Sunday afternoon. We had a great experience with a congenial chef who was mindful of the children's comfort level (big fires can be scary!) and an attentive server. The dining room was very clean - an impressive accomplishment given the level of oil cast off by the cooking surfaces, and the food was great. Even better - we didn't smell like a Japanese Steakhouse the rest of the day as is usually the case with most steakhouses. It was a great experience -
