We go here a lot and love it. However this last time yesterday I got food poisoning. It was either the lemon, potatos, corn or tomato soup since my husband had everything else I had and we had nothing else that day. Within an hr of eating I was getting sick.

We were pleasantly surprised by the staff’s professionalism. We were a group of 12 on a Saturday night without a reservation, and we were cordially treated. We’re from out of town, and it was a first time for most of us in a Korean BBQ. We had the best time, the best server & the best food⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thanking our brother for bringing us here?

The looks my boyfriend and I shared while eating here.. we have both had our fair share of kbbq, but here we were blown away. Our server was incredibly kind, informative, and really on top of it. He came over to our table after ordering and said, I know it's not much but have this for your first time coming here and gave us a key ring! Our mouths on the floor because nobody is doing things like that anymore. To spend money in this economy the food has to be good sure, but it's the experience that is lasting. We literally took videos of the little robot that brought us our food and actually called a friend DURING the meal because we loved the place so much and wanted to gush about it. When I think kbbq or hotpot from now on I'm going to be thinking PJ Hot Pot. They have a customer for life now and someone who wants to bring all their friends to experience it too!

Vegetarian options: Because of the nature of hot pot and kbbq you choose what you eat and cook. This has such an extensive menu full of veggies and tofu options available for vegetarian and vegans. Two of the soups are marked vegan. Plus they have an extensive sauce bar to make your own sauce so you know what is going into it! Highly reccomend.

I’ve been here over 5 times so far, and I’ve also been to the 2 K-Pot locations in Cbus (bethel and polaris). PJ is better than Kpot - specifically their sichuan hotpot broth and their KALBI / Short Rib!!! The short rib here are thick cuts, SUPER flavorful that they’re almost addicting! The sichuan broth is also more flavorful, spicier, and aromatic. I’m an Asian who eats super spicy so I might be biased, but after eating the broth here and going back to Kpot, their sichuan did not have the same kick of umami. I drive 15 minutes more to eat here now versus kpot.

Other points to add, this place seems to not be franchised, and it’s much cleaner and upscale in construction and finishes compare to Kpot. Kpot has a grimy feel to it. Here the details are noticeably higher end (better ventilation, marble tiling, etc).

Every time I’ve come here I’ve gotten Ray as my server, and he’s attentive plus super chill.

The food was delicious! I was truly surprised! This time I ate the yakiniku and it was great! I can highly recommend this restaurant! My hostess was great and the rest of the staff waited on us even though we were not their table. I can’t wait to go back and try the hot pot! It is a true Asian restaurant with the true Asian taste and the true Asian service! For once, I didn’t mind giving a tip! I felt like I was tipping for the service and not because I had to! I’ll be back and I’ll bring my friends!

ranny ace ordonio

The place is clean and brighter and not too narrow compared to other k bbq places
Good dessert (sesame balls, 5 stars) good options
Good fried foods for kids (fries nuggets)

Service is fast and attentive

Food a little lower - blue crabs seems not fresh or frozen too watery , meat is crumbly not firm, let down - and its a highlight in their menu

Other sliced meat are too frozen - did not enjoy some, watered down when grilling hard to cook.

I kept on saying baby octopus, they kept bringing me sliced calamari - i gave up.

And the white rice - i wish it was just plain. It has some flavoring or whatever

Overall you can go and enjoy when really hungry, but coming back often maybe not.

Hope they fix these, can do better.
