Why does no one speak English at an American restaurant? Took 15 minutes and communicating through multiple staff members (who weren't ignoring us) to get the one person who could communicate just to answer a question about a certain ingredient. The man who helped us was the only friendly person we interacted with as he was truely helpful and kind.
Multiple people standing around doing nothing, why not just raise your wages to hire Americans who can communicate effectively? You could bring back table service and get rid of the expensive QR readers for drinks and lazy staff.
We came out because we wanted to support your switch to tallow and other changes, the burgers were much better than when I last went nearly 4 years ago due to the changes! There's still a long way to go, but Steak 'n Shake is paving the way.
How does this place have 2.5k reviews and close to a 4 star? Those have to be mostly fake.. Upon walking the floors are disgusting, greasy slimy.. The bathrooms are filthy, had to unfortunately take a leak during my meal and woof, that's bad. It seems like they cut costs on labor for whatever reason because service time was slow as well.. as for the food? This isn't the same Steak N Shake it was 10-15 years ago, this is an insane downgrade.. I always wondered what happened to the packed crowds that filled the lots to here.
