We ordered a Frisco melt, chili, large soft drink, and a shake for delivery from this location. The store called to inform us they didn't have the soft drink and quickly offered a refund of that item. The delivery was a smashed Frisco Melt and a smashed chili in a sealed bag. No shake. No napkins. NO SPOON. I guess I now get to drink the chili instead of the shake I really wanted. Door Dash offered us a $10 refund for our trouble. Steak N Shake used to be a good restaurant, but now they really aren't worth the time or money. Next time I'll order from somewhere else.

Absolutely the worst experience ive had at a steak and shake. I come in with my family and am greeted with a boy (16ish) yelling hello at the door. He did not work there and his friends was egging it on and management said nothing and allowed it. They finally left and we ordered and sat down. All tables was dirty. We sat down and here comes the loud kids ,walking in the door screaming and being obnoxious. We got up and just left . 2 familys walked in ,turned around and left. Absolutely terrible management didnt say anything.

Have to order from a kiosk and they still ask for a tip. If you want a tip, get a server to take my order like you used too., otherwise you get just your regular salary.

Placed mobile order and pulled up to the window for pickup and was told I have to still come in…… what’s the point of an order ahead if you still have to come in. Then I come in and the food wasn’t even made yet.
To top it off I had a free shake, the app/Apple Pay showed a total of 7$ and change but was charged almost 13$. Spoke to a manager and all they say is to call in we don’t know how to fix it… like WTH

This was unfortunately a terrible experience. One of the kiosks was down and unable to print tickets, the bathroom was dirty, and the lights were all flickering horribly. Honestly, everything could've been overlooked except for the lights. I contacted steak n shake customer service regarding the lights as they were flickering so intensely that it was an issue of potential seizure induction. I did speak with the staff about it first and they said they had a service order placed for it but it had been several days at that point. Hoping the issue was remedied! The shakes were, of course, delicious and will try again another time.
Went here 20 minutes before 10pm and asked for shakes. Instead of the normal excuse when they don't want to make shakes 20 minutes before closing, they said they didn't have any shake glasses. I said that I wanted it to-go, and they doubled down that they only have the kid size cups... I know shakes come in the same cups as to-go soft drinks, so that's such an obvious lie it honestly shows just how they conduct business at this location.
It's been significantly disappointing how far downhill Steak 'n Shake has fallen. I wish I could say this was just location based, but poor service and lack of customer care seems to be a brand staple at this point. Not sure if it's due to franchise leadership or generally poor management at the fundamental corporate level, but needless to say, they've lost a brand advocate today. I used to like that I worked at Steak 'n Shake for several years through high school and college. Now it's just a disappointment. With service as poor as this your brand will continue to sink. I wouldn't be surprised if locations like this one or the brand itself is no longer around in the next 5 years.
