Shout out to Giant Eagle bakery in Calcutta ohio for doing an excellent job on my baby's birthday cake. Went in there with an "idea" told the girl what I wanted and what our theme was, I told them to get as creative as they wanted, regardless we were going to enjoy the cake and she was only 1 so it didn't truly matter. They offered us the smash cake (free for the 1st birthday if you didn't know) and even followed the theme with that cake! I think whoever decorated the cake did a very good job, and as always we will get our cakes from there!

Don’t bother calling the bakery to reserve anything bc they say they will and then don’t. I ordered a large loaf of pumpernickel for pick up today. The employees were incredibly rude telling me it was put out for sale today. I ordered it 5 days ago with all of my information taken. They made the size I wanted and sold it before I got there. Which was before the time they told me to pick it up.

Their Curbside service needs better organized. I ordered groceries. Got a time and date. Put in my credit card. Accepted it. But I did not get an order number. So I called to check since they took my card # and was on my card. The girl said sorry about that I don’t see an order for you. It’s been happening a lot. ??????? What?? They didn’t even offer to help me on this. Sorry to say I didn’t receive my order.

This giant eagle sells you moldy bread & the Manager Debbie says it’s YOUR fault for not checking the bread.. not that it’s their fault for the moldy breads shelf life. (I guess I’ll have to open each bread & check it.. cuz that’s not Disgusting...) And give you attitude and are rude to you for no reason. And wouldn’t even let you exchange for new bread.. BUT corporate says they should of.. sorry I don’t have a job due to the pandemic & scrape every dollar I have to buy groceries. I’m not buying to throw them away.

I had a wonderful experience in the store until I got to the bathroom. there were no liners for woman products to be disposed of. The trash was full, there was toilet paper on the floor and it was all around disgusting. You shouldn't be able to smell the odor of the bathroom from the bakery. It's disgusting and unsanitary.
