Purchased a cake through them for my wedding. The day of the wedding Maria called me, yelling because they couldn't find the venue. I gave her the address again because she had "written it down wrong." She was very rude. She did not even enter the venue when they dropped off the cake. I hope it is because she was embarrassed by her nasty behavior, but I doubt it. The cake was three tiers and the tiers were not even centered properly. It was completely lopsided. And the ultimate insult was when we cut into the cake and it was the wrong flavor. Do not recommend.

Our wedding cake was stunning with white buttercream decorated with blue swirls, dots and rhinestone bands separating the three tiers. We had Casada cake on the bottom tier and it was absolutely phenomenal! The red velvet on the second tier was amazing. Rather than saving the top tier, which was wedding white, to freeze for our anniversary, we decided to eat it. It was so moist and the butter cream frosting was the best! Thank you Maria & Joe!

Maria and Joe made our wedding cake for us and it was delicious!! Maria was so easy to work with and made this process seem so simple! Our cake was 3 tiered and she offered to have the bottom and middle tiers two different flavors for guests, and I thought that was such a smart idea! We kept the top tier for ourselves - and I’m so glad we did because now we get to enjoy a whole tier to ourselves! Delicious and highly recommend!

Maria and Joe did a wonderful job with our wedding cake! We got married on Halloween and wanted to incorporate the colors without it being too crazy and they delivered. On top of that, the cake was absolutely delicious.

Narrowly avoided a cake-tastrophe for my wedding. Maria, the baker, wouldn't let me do a cake tasting until a month and a half before my wedding, and when we finally did it, we were very unpleasantly shocked. The cake samples were so dry that and tasteless that I was sure she must've let them sit in a display case for a week or else baked with sawdust instead of flour. Even my 11 year old cake fiend wouldn't eat it! The icing was sickly sweet and almost chemical-tasting. The "different cake flavors" were just different icing combinations with the same two cake batters (Chocolate and yellow cake). We called and asked if this is how dried out we should expect our wedding cake to be or if this was just samples gone wrong. Maria explained that, "that's just how my cakes all are, because wedding cakes need to be super dry to hold their shape." I'm guessing poor Maria has never been to a wedding, because never has the cake been even remotely dry at any of the weddings that I've gone to. Additionally, she then informed me that she couldn't accommodate my cake design because it would take at least a couple of hours to decorate, even though she had already exuberantly accepted my design plan when we first talked and showed her a photo of the cake that we were hoping to replicate. She didn't offer to do the design if I paid more, she just flat-out refused, and said instead she could do a very small percent of the design, which for most cakes (and especially the one that I chose) would look absolutely ridiculous. I was supposed to get a "free" wedding cake from here as a promotion when I booked my venue, and as upsetting as it was to pass up a free cake and to look for a baker at the very last minute, it was definitely 10000000000% necessary. I'm a budget bride and I wouldn't even go with this bakery for free so, PLEASE, if you are a future bride reading this long ranting review right now, do yourself a favor and give this place a hard pass or I PROMISE you will regret it.

Cakes By Maria and Joe helped make my 60th birthday celebration a huge success. My cassata cake was baked fresh that very morning and was absolutely moist and delicious. The assorted jumbo cupcakes were a big hit and all guests got to take some home to enjoy another day. Thank you Maria and Joe! I can’t wait until I can order from you again.
