Martin makes a difference in Elyria. Happy, friendly, and always willing to get you anything you need. He was working hard helping as a server and today on a Saturday the buffet area looked better than it has at past visits and food was good.

I worked at Golden Corral as the dishwasher. If you saw the things that I saw, I'm very sure you would change your mind about eating anything.I refuse to eat at any Golden Corral. First off, they buy the cheapest cuts of meat. The kitchen floors are so greasy that you have to hold on to the appliances while walking to keep from slipping and falling. The Chef (as they call him /her) at this Golden Corral I worked at dropped a big chunk of meat (about 30 lbs) on the floor. While he was attempting to pick it up while trying to stay on his feet without slipping and falling himself.... the chunk of meat was sort of sliding around on the greasy floor like a mop. As he finally picked up the chunk of meat, he then threw it back on the grill. How disgusting is that? Mice running across the floor and a manager squashes it with his foot and leaves it laying there the whole shift. And he didn't even clean off his shoes. He just tracked the mouse guts all around the restaurant and kitchen all night. Things the public don't know about.

If you're okay with eating a bunch of trash food and just getting full on low quality food then it's a great place. It's basically the epitome of quality over quantity. I haven't been to a golden corral in 15 years, and I remember as soon as I walked in. Everything is cold, looks awful. Just the worst Sysco food, cooked by people who can't cook. If you cant cool pizza right, and your cheese doesn't melt because it's some kinda cheese product. I guess it's a good place for people who haven't really had good food and eat frozen food mostly. It's worse than I remember, and everythiong is coated in grease and even the chocolate fudge dispenser has hardened sludge all over the end.
