Let me start with the ONE positive aspect of the business. The food is undeniably amazing!!! The fried catfish and shrimp are seasoned to perfection. The green beans, candied yams and mac n cheese are really good too.
Now, the service is TRASH and the restaurant needs to update the central air unit. When you call to place an order, they lie about the food options. The rude woman that usually answers the phone will say that a particular meal isn’t available, but if you drive there and place the order in person, all of sudden it is available 😒. Maybe the kitchen and person taking the orders need to communicate with each other more clearly. I strongly suggest you don’t order from one of the food delivery apps! If a menu item isn’t available, you won’t know until the driver shows up with a side a mac n cheese or green beans 😳. My overall rating of 3/5 stars is generous considering how horrible the service is.

Honestly I had some of their bbq boneless wings, the bbq tasted odd. Not really like bbq sauce the fries were very soggy and unseasoned. A few hours after eating, i was the sickest i have ever been after trying a new place. I wanted to give them a try based on their facebook posts but from many of my friends i was told not too as they either did not like it or felt sick after. I should have listened. Also, the inside of the restaurant is very smoky, I had to step out because I felt like I was having a hard time breathing. If you have breathing issues, i do not recommend going inside.

Horrible Taco salad through Door dash! Watch out if it is time to close soon also because they gave me a Taco salad that was nachos with burnt reheated taco meat and stale doritos, description says a tortilla bowl. Not! I ordered a Sprite they gave me Ginger ale. Will not be back! Food in the trash.
First time trying this place, and definitely will be the last. I ordered a rib tip with the greens and macaroni and cheese ripped tips all burnt and dried out. Very nasty. Try to cover it up with a whole bunch of sauce.

Not often I feel the need to write reviews on places, but this was an exception. Went here after seeing one of their posts on Facebook and decided to give it a shot. Keep it mind I have been to some of the top BBQ places in the US and one that is a James Beard nominee this year. This is bbq meant for a price point for the community and this places an executes great quality and friendly service while at a very reasonable price. ALL of the employees were friendly and inviting. I ended up getting the po boy without slaw. Served on an actual sub roll and not a hot dog bun like some places like to do. Which is great so the bun doesn’t fall apart. The sausage had a great taste and was still incredibly juicy after a 10 min ride to eat it. The fries had a steak fry consistency, which I personally love, and gives you tender fries when you reach your destination. They were polished off with Lawreys Seasoning Salt or something similar. The sauce was similar to Open Pit, which I also enjoy. Only down point was it seems like the exhaust hood wasn’t on so it was a bit Smokey in there. Great food at an honest price, which is what the community needs. As long as you keep your expectations realistic or even slightly on the high side you can’t go wrong.

I’d give 0 stars if possible . Called at 8:35 and was told they don’t carry brisket although it’s on two spots on the menu?? And also said they close at 9 so their done making Mac and cheese for the day buy everywhere online says 10? Wild . Wont be trying this place it seems 🤷🏻♀️

First time getting takeout from Midtown BBQ and I'm glad I found them. I ordered a full slab of spareribs and 1/2 pound of pulled pork, bbq sauce on the side. I LOVED the sauce! It's got a little vinegar, it's sweet, it's smoky, and really hits all the flavor buttons. The ribs were single cut and sauced and were delicious. The star for me was the pulled pork. So moist and full of flavor it hardly needs sauce. I will be going back soon.
