Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

The staff and manager were really great!!!! I felt really bad for the poor building!!!! The bathroom had one stall that was also the handicapped stall!!?? The decor felt like it was from the 1950s. I'm terrified of what is behind the inches of plaster they threw on the walls!!! I don't think the heat worked in the bathroom or the other side of the building. This was in December!! I know remodeling costs a ton and they probably don't have it in the budget!!!

The pleasant attitude of the workers really made the dining experience pleasant, but the dim lighting and old interior brought down the morale a bit. I think people who go to Perkins remember dining there for decades!!! I love the pancakes and would hate to lose the 2 Perkins we have in the area!!!

The Perkins on Byers road feels like it is newer but maybe it isn't. It definitely has an updated interior and bathroom!! Byers Road does have more windows, so it feels brighter. I had one awful experience there with a check out person so that weights on my mind!

I usually have the same food so I can't say a lot about it. It's definitely comfort food!!! I go through phases where I order the same thing all the time. The pot roast is to die for, as well as the pancakes, eggs and bacon!!

It was nice, the place needs an update .Drop cieling looks like they need to be replaced they look like mold is on it.kind of disgusted me other wise food was good.mostly elderly in their.

I genuinely enjoy visiting this establishment. Initially, I had the impression that it was primarily frequented by senior citizens seeking affordable meals. My assumption proved to be accurate. The ambiance of the place is remarkably cozy, and the prices of the food items are quite reasonable.

Upon entering the establishment, I am consistently welcomed with a warm and friendly greeting. The delectable baked goods offered are freshly prepared each morning, ensuring an exceptional culinary experience.

Food was fresh and tasty, we got the steak w/peppers and added the drink and pie for 5.99, (I may be wrong on the change amount), we also got the appetizer sampler.
Service was eh, the server did get our order right.
Halfway through our meal, we were given our checks and to-go containers, which included our pies we ordered. We asked for refills so we could finish our meal, the server seemed very anxious for us to leave.
We were there maybe 25mins, they didn't close for another 1.5hrs.
We just packed the remainder of our meal up and took it home with our pies that were already bagged up.
The place was clean, host was friendly, probably won't eat there again because of the service and feeling like we weren't welcomed.

Not sure why the ratings are so low here. It’s the first place we’ve eaten in a long time that had hot food. Our server was a sweetheart, and very attentive. We enjoyed our meal and the restaurant was clean. Would return again if we lived closer.

First it felt very cold inside and the food was barely warm. It was not a very pleasant experience. Not my first time here but might be my last after this. Then charge over $3 for something to drink 🤦‍♂️
