The pork in the Tonkotsu Ramen was burnt so didn’t taste very good.

I have ordered here twice, the first time we dined in and our waiter was extremely nice. Studio ghibli was playing on the tvs above the bar area and my whole family enjoyed their experience. I ordered the katsudon which I didn’t enjoy because the pork cutlet lacked flavor and the meal was overall too salty. Still, I just equated it up to differences in taste and looked forward to my next visit.
Tonight, I ordered takeout and got the tonkotsu ramen. I was pretty disappointed with the portions for a $17 bowl of ramen. The order was 90% broth and ramen, and had practically no pork (literally two little pieces), mushrooms, or any other the other toppings. The broth and noodles were just salty with no flavor, and honestly I could have gotten better from gas station ramen (and paid much less too).

The pork bun and ramen was amazing. The chashu literally melts in your mouth. Prices were fair and our sever was so polite and attentive.

DO NOT come here for ramen - go to Zundo in Mason. I really wanted to like this place, but all the other reviews are telling the truth ? The presentation of food and the service is great, but this IS NOT authentic ramen. The miso ramen didn’t have a lot of broth and it’s overly salted I just couldn’t eat half of it. The tonkatsu ramen was bland, does not have a rich broth. The ingredients on top and the egg are super cold, not sure if that’s the reason the broth was lukewarm. I did however enjoy my katsudon, the egg was cooked well and sweet. The pork is thinner than other places. I wish the reviews would have reflected a true score of 2 stars because I came here since it’s mostly rated 5 stars.

Literally our go-to for ramen. We've been to lots of places, but it's fantastic. The servers are all nice, it's not stressful, and it's the best tasting ramen around.

This is the closest ramen place to my home, and I am so excited that it was great food for affordable prices! We got the Tonkotsu and Tantanmen ramen, a Tempura starter, and a couple different mochi for desert. The atmosphere was great, simple but cozy designs, and there was a nice looking bar and a variety of drink options. The employees were very nice and clearly took pride in their service because they were running around and very thorough in keeping the place clean. We asked to move tables at one point to better see the tv and our server not only wiped down the new table but also wiped the chairs!
The food was delicious but this is the first time I’ve ever been served ramen without it being steaming hot. The broth was warm, the noodles were hot, and the toppings were cold. I wish it all would’ve been hot, but the flavor was still good. The pork in the tonkotsu was a bit too charred, but the tantanmen was absolutely delicious. The tempura was also great. The mocha had a bit of frost on the outside, but still great. I highly recommend the mango flavor if they have it! For two ramens with extra eggs, five pieces of tempura, and 3 mochi I paid roughly $60, which I feel is a great price for food on the fancy side, plus left overs.
Vegetarian options: There seem to be vegetarian options for all menu item types: ramen, chahan, and donburi.
Parking: Easy parking in a large enough lot.
Kid-friendliness: They have some good kid friendly food choices, and even have a pbj bao option, which I’m very curious about!
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has lots of open space, and every table is able to convert to a wheelchair accessible table.

Seated quickly, served without delay.
The tonkotsu ramen overall was passable but the broth was bland and my egg and pork were still cold while I was eating, even after I mixed and submerged them into the broth for a few minutes.
I did appreciate the seaweed being in one big slice instead of shredded because I usually pick that out first and eat it before it gets mooshy or disintegrates entirely.
The noodles were cooked properly.
The "hot chili oil" was more like colored oil. It didn't have any flavor or heat. I'm also accustomed to there being chili bits in the oil but I can't fault them for the lack of bits seeing as that could be a style.
It may have been affected by the dinner rush picking up but our server gave us the bare minimum of attention.
No ask of if we wanted anything else, just put down the check while we were still eating, took a while to come pick it up, and when it was brought back, my card and the receipt were wet.
I have no intention of trying again and I would not recommend.
I might be more discerning and give it another try some time if it were not for the fact that there are so many other options in the area to try.
I am a tough customer as I've been to some great ramen shops. Hoshi is probably a really good option for ramen in Ohio. I think I just expected more with WPAFB being right there.
