The food was the worse I have had in a long time! Egg drop soup tasted burnt, egg rolls were burnt, so was the crab Rangoon. General TSO chicken was so stringy and I used to love it here. Fried rice was so greasy I had to use three napkins to soak it up. To say the least I won’t be returning and I won’t recommend this restaurant

This place was ok. The portions were kind of large and a little plain, but overall, it was okay

Went at 2:30pm so service was fast, the food was good and I usually eat all of it but I took half of it home. Portions were great for the price (I had a dinner bento box). The waiter was very nice too and it was very clean inside. I loved it! Wish we had places like this back home.

CHECK YOU ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!! We love the food here! The service is amazing and the friendliness is great! The friendliness is where it gets you! Talking with the staff and you forget to check the bag! First strike: mistaken “wonton soup” for “big white rice”. They were super nice and fixed that. Free large wonton. Ordered SHRIMP curry… got chicken curry. Didn’t check the curry before we left, my fault, but now I have no dinner except white rice. This is not the first time they have forgotten or given the wrong takeout order. My fault for not checking. Make sure you check your bag and confirm everything is correct!

I visited J Y Bamboo Restaurant with a friend back in May 2025, and overall, we had a good experience. The restaurant is located right on N Broad St in Fairborn, and it gives off a cozy, welcoming vibe. I believe it’s family-owned, or at least it feels that way because the staff was extremely kind, attentive, and friendly throughout our visit.
The restaurant was very clean, and that’s always something I look for and appreciate when trying a new place. We were seated quickly, and the service was fast, which made it a convenient stop for a lunch outing.
As for the food, everything I tried was delicious, though I can’t remember every single item I ordered. What stood out the most was the quality of their dishes—everything tasted fresh, and the textures were on point. Their crab rangoon was especially tasty: perfectly crispy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I also ordered some sushi, and it was well-prepared with a nice presentation and great taste.
One thing I wasn’t a big fan of was the soup. Since I don’t eat pork or beef, my options were limited, and I didn’t enjoy the one I tried. That said, my friend really enjoyed their soup, so I’d say it just comes down to personal preference and dietary restrictions.
They also had crispy, refreshing drinks, which added to the overall dining experience. While J Y Bamboo might not be my absolute first choice for a lunch spot, I’m glad I gave it a try. I’d definitely consider going back, especially for the sushi and crab rangoon. It’s a solid local option with good food, fast service, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Got takeout last night and was rather disappointed. Maybe it was because it was 9pm and they thought, “Eh, screw it, it’s one of the last orders of the night” but everything was way over cooked and tasted like the oil should have been changed a long time ago. It’s a pity because I could tell the food itself would have been good if there had been any care at all in preparing it. At least the cashier and the guy who brought the food out were friendly and the order was made on time with the right items. I’ll give them another chance in the future, order earlier in the day, see how that is. It shouldn’t make a difference for work ethic’s sake, but we’ll see. Or maybe it was just an off day, we all have those.

I love the workers here! I don't know their names but if I did I'd give them a shout out😊
Pretty good food and a large menu. Dine in service was great, but I mostly order takeout and only ever had to wait for an order when it was a big family one. Most portions are a nice size, just wish their fried rice order was a little bigger, but I don't order it enough for it to bug me too much.
Great food .the best in fairborn
