My wife and I arrived late (aroung 9:40 p.m.) after a movie but it was still very busy. The vibe is strong neighborhood gathering place with groups of friends. We are somewhat older then the average guests and the noise level was substantially higher than we are comfortable with. But, true to its reputation, everything else was great. We sat at the bar and had four small plates between us (mushrooms, mussels, duck, and shrimp pozole). All were well-prepared, fairly creative and nice and warm. But the real star of of the evening was the drinks. This place has always had what are probably the best mixologists in Lake County behind the bar, and last night was no exception. I have lived in NYC and these people could hold their own in the better bars there. The drinks were magic. If you just tell the bartender to make you a drink without much guidance (perhaps other than the primary liquor or flavor you want), you will not be disappointed.

They don't advertise themselves as a tapas bar, but I think that is essentially what it is. It has the same vibe as several tapas bars we have visited in northwest Spain, with the exception that people come and stay at Pompador for hours rather than make it a quick stop for a bite. Because the place is small, reservations are usually needed.

Honestly nothing I could recommend here. Scallops were cut in thin slivers w no sear on some type of old pasta salad. Venison was dry tasteless cold w odd sauces. Short rib was dry. All proteins tasted like reheated leftovers. Service was slow plan on being there 2hrs. All very disappointing.

Went last night for first time, friend had recommended. He is a big bourbon guy. They do have a decent offering!
We had squash and Brussel sprouts, octopus, ravioli, pork belly AND the special Wagyu steak. All were really great, flavors and the texture was really unique with the pairings of vegetables and seasonings. I loved the octopus, my wife thought it was too spicy with the Chilli caviar.
We made reservations late so we were at the bar, not my favorite, but the vibe was really good. Staff very friendly and really knowledgeable!
The bar tender made some very nice looking drinks for people next to us there for a liquid dinner! Nice to see an old bar reincarnated into a fantastic restaurant! Great free parking will definitely return!

We had a lovely evening here. I had originally made a reservation for the patio, but the weather was crummy, so I contacted the restaurant to see if we could get a table. While all the tables were booked, we had a decent set up at the bar and had a lovely time sampling some of the small plates. We had several of the day's specials, which were outstanding. Service and food were great. We will definitely be back, and we live 50 mins away!

It was recommended that each of us order two small plates to share among the four of us. Our choices were delicious. The waitress did an exceptional job serving two small plates at a time. Cocktails were well concocted.

The bar tender was rude and said we should go to a bowling alley with hamburgers and fries. Never been so insulted.

We had wonderful food and drinks here tonight. Everything was delicious top notch and service was amazing. The bartender David was very attentive and Laney was as well too. I would highly recommend coming here if you haven't been here yet! We had several different plates five to be exact and two drinks each. We will definitely be back!

Revamped, New-American locale serving residents of Fairport Harbor. The Pompadour has provided residents of Fairport Harbor, access to stylized New-American fare since 2016. Stylized New-American, having gone onto experience stark improvements in terms of quantity/presentation. Improvements, courtesy of an implied transition in terms of hired chef on-site.

The Pompadour's hired chef on-site values presentation. Presentation, within import rhetoric. Imported ingredients, stylized within progressive rhetoric leaving major US cities. The Pompadour caters to progressive demographics. Progressive demographics, seeking attention to detail, import value and stylized fare. The above, served within dining room/patio arrangements conveying an ethereal design blueprint. Full patio arrangement, ----surrounded by flora/fauna supporting the above design concept.

Perspectives accustomed to chefs within major US cities will find satisfaction in what is to be discovered within the menu-list. List-items, appealing to the above attached viewpoint. Taste and quality of list-items, supporting both visual presentation as well as text descriptors. Text descriptors, conveying the chef on-site's mastery of ingredient combinations. Ingredient combinations, designed to enthrall guests.

----inspiring multiple tapas orders.

Service standards on the evening of visit left much to be desired. Caustic, ----abrasive table-side service with minimal interest in accommodating to our party in terms of interpersonal approach. Staff are not adequately trained to interact with guests seeking x, y experience within, and intended to reflect the above attached described. Gross lack of concern in terms of mannerisms. Mannerisms, required to fully represent the venue, ----capabilities of the chef on-site.

My husband and I have dined here 4x previously. We brought my parents for them to try. The food was all really good, except the scallops were underwhelming and had no sear. The server was obviously in a sour mood from the start. Not friendly or welcoming at all. I could tell she was annoyed when she came over to explain the specials and my husband and father were talking and didn't notice her immediately to stop talking. Also, she seemed mad that they only ordered 3 plates. She was going on and on about how they are small plates and everyone should order 2-3 per person. My Dad is a very light eater, the food was plenty. My husband and I had 5 plates and it was enough. Probably won't be back.
