My husband and I have dined here 4x previously. We brought my parents for them to try. The food was all really good, except the scallops were underwhelming and had no sear. The server was obviously in a sour mood from the start. Not friendly or welcoming at all. I could tell she was annoyed when she came over to explain the specials and my husband and father were talking and didn't notice her immediately to stop talking. Also, she seemed mad that they only ordered 3 plates. She was going on and on about how they are small plates and everyone should order 2-3 per person. My Dad is a very light eater, the food was plenty. My husband and I had 5 plates and it was enough. Probably won't be back.

This place is so good it could easily sit in the middle of NYC or SF and hold its own. I can't say enough good things about our experience....I think we ate one of everything on the menu! My favorites were probably the squash & brussels and the venison tenderloin. My husband's favorite was the wagyu beef special.
In addition to phenomenal food, the ambience couldn't be more cozy/intimate. We chose to sit at the bar and Kelly (who apparently is only filling in as a bartender) gave us the most special service. She has perfected the art of bartending. Engaging, warm, prompt, and helpful. She's an asset.
I'm only sad that I live far enough away that I can't eat here every week!

We were so impressed with every dish we got! The dates, short rib, and duck were our favorite plates. The Pompadour is definitely worth the drive. We will definitely be back!
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options were clearly marked and more than half the menu was gluten free. Our waitress let us know the kitchen is great about changing utensils and cleaning surfaces to prevent cross contamination.

It is always a pleasure to eat at The Pompadour. The food, from the Humble Veg, to the punk rock chicken, is always perfect. We've never been rushed, or had courses brought too quickly. *** December 2022, they finally have Brussels Sprouts (and they are awesome! ) on the menu***
What elevates The Pompadour is the staff- everyone is there to make the dining experience exceed expectations. Everyone is friendly. Everyone cares.

This spot is one that you want to leave the city for. Which city? Depends on who you ask, but I happened to be visiting from Philly and look - I’ve been to a lot of pretentious restaurants trying and failing to do what this spot has accomplished. The food was fabulous, for tapas style I felt the portions were on the money. The quality of ingredients as well as the preparation and cooking were top notch. You can tell the chef is very passionate about creating well rounded and beautiful dishes. Super balanced flavor profiles, everything in each dish was purposeful. And y’all, the tiramisu - call the cops. I’m not lying when I say I licked the dang cup after I finished eating it. Other standouts were the ravioli, shrimp pozole, and the shiitake mushroom. Both food specials slapped. Only thing I didn’t devour was the burrata - burrata is so good on its own so I don’t love when it’s deep fried but hey, to each their own.
Bartenders were lovely - great conversation and my sisters had a delightful Shirley Temple, don’t sleep on it.
