Wendel's BBQ at St. Joe Store

Had a pulled pork sandwich it was very good and reasonably priced. The resteraunt is not very big it's not fancy , but is clean and that goes a long way. We will go there again.

My husband and I had an excellent dining experience at Wendel's BBQ. We happened to go on Euchre night (if you don't know what that is, you should look it up and learn to play!)
We were quickly met by a sweet woman named Mary. She took our drink order and I asked for breaded mushrooms. The mushrooms were amazing!! They were obviously done in house - none of that frozen, prepackaged junk. Better yet they fry in TALLOW!! No seed oils here! That in itself should get a separate 5 star review.
As for our meals, my husband ordered the Awesome Terry, and I had the Brisket Quesadilla. Both were fantastic and came with a side of smoky bbq mayo. I found out they sell jars of that mayo! Of course we bought some to take home.
One other unexpected perk was beer in glass bottles. I had an ice cold Pabst Blue Ribbon - hadn't had one of those in years!

All in all a great experience, full of flavor, plenty of food, great vibes, excellent service, and I recommend taking a few extra minutes to appreciate the decor of the restaurant. You can tell there's heart and soul being put into this place.
We can't wait to go back!

picked up a bottle of bbq sauce the other day. it taste pretty good. sweet & smokey. looking forward to trying it on more than just a bite of beef.

My husband and I just got a pulled pork sandwich and some pulled pork nachos at the Mercer County Fair. Hands down, some of THE BEST pulled pork I've ever had!! There wasn't one single piece of fat on either the sandwich or nachos! The food was delicious!!
