It had been a long time since I had been to an El Vaquero and it doesn't seem like I was missing much. The food has gotten really "meh" in much the same way it usually does when a decent place turns into a chain restaurant. The atmosphere was suburban sterile which sort of matched the food. I have to say the waiter was quite friendly and the service was pretty solid, especially considering we caught the tail end of dinner rush. I feel like I'd have done better to check out the Mexican place across Hamilton.

I was skeptical of coming here because of a terrible experience I had at another location but this location was a total 180. We were seated quickly, our food came out ridiculously fast it was hot and very delicious. We got some half priced margaritas that were exceptional even though the price didn’t seem very half offish. Nonetheless it was exactly what you would expect being at a Mexican restaurant. Looking forward for a reason to go back !

Amazing as always! We go almost weekly, everyone is friendly and food honestly never fails!!!!!
Well always been a go to if in the area but maybe new owners or something! 16 dollars for 2 ! yes tortillas/ chicken fajitas they give you 4 flour tortillas BUT no where near the food . The little bit of food I received was good . Wife ordered chicken chimichonga fried needed cooked ALOT longer. Had to take home an put in air fryer. The booth seating absolutely 0 cushion WOW ! Go the a table ! Server was great though we can not hold this against him ?♂️

I have thoroughly enjoyed the food at this establishment, however, I must address a concerning issue regarding the treatment of solo female patrons. During my recent visit, I experienced a lack of respect and discomfort from the waiter. As I inquired about the menu, the waiter approached me inappropriately close with a suggestive smile, making me feel uneasy. It is disheartening that women dining alone are subjected to such behavior and feel the need to pretend to be occupied on their phones to avoid unwanted attention.I believe it is crucial for men to recognize that women have the right to dine out independently and deserve to be treated with the same level of respect as any other customer. It is disappointing to witness a difference in treatment between male and female solo diners, as evidenced by the contrasting experiences of myself and a nearby male patron.While I do plan to revisit this establishment, I feel compelled to do so only in the company of my boyfriend for added comfort and security. It is my hope that establishments like this will work towards creating a more inclusive and respectful environment for all patrons, regardless of their gender.

I have historically gone to the El Vaquero on Olentangy. Never again! This El Vaquero was by far superior in food portion and especially food flavor and spiciness. This is my new go to Mexican restaurant.
