Well the only good thing about my visit last night was we was greeted as we walked in. As we was done looking at what we wanted, no one asked if we was ready to order. As we ordered ordered the Italian sub. Never had a problem with the Italian sub before but it was gross, the sub was so soggy and had so much mayo on it. We ate there and got a combo. There was a bag of chips that was outdated from Oct 2024. The tables was dirty as the workers just hung out in the back room. They was no zero sugar soda. If I knew this experience was going to be this bad I would of went to another sub place. Won't be going to this firehouse again.

Our office ordered 6 Subs- each were correct, even with substitutions and Add-Ons , and ready for pickup at the specified time. Great work, Team !

Lights half turned out and chairs up on table several hours before closing. No greeting when you walk in the door or asking what you’d like to order and clearly a bunch of people that don’t want to work. Sitting around on the counters. After a 20 minute wait, the order wasn’t correct and someone came out chasing me down as I was pulling out of the parking lot telling me I had someone else’s order after I opened the bag. They still took it back even after being in my car and probably gave it to the next customer.

I placed an online pickup order for a gluten free ham sub. I specifically checked "no pickle spear" while placing the order. (My daughter hates pickle.) The cost was $10.99 (gf bun surchage).

My daughter was disappointed when she opened the sub and there was a pickle spear that got juices on half of the sub. She ate the half that didn't get the pickle juice, but the bun on the other half had absorbed the pickle juice flavor.

I was irritated because I had said no pickle so our order was inaccurate. Many things I could just pick off and that would be that. But pickle juice is very strong and you can't just get rid of it.

This was our first time trying Firehouse subs. I went back to my order and choose the "report a problem" option. I put in that my order was wrong as the issue. It offered me 1,100 points as a consolation and asked if I wanted to accept it. I went to their menu to see what 1,100 points would get - if it would have been half of the price of a medium sub I would have said yes! That would be fair.

A medium sub is actually 12,000 points! So 1,100 is pretty measly. Heck, the lowest point item is a brownie or cookie for 4,000. So they basically offered me 1/4 of a cookie for my trouble. That's almost offensive.

So I said no and escalated it. I did receive a response quickly. However, the response was vague and full of lip service. (Screenshot below.) I wasn't sure what to expect to happen next. I interpreted it as they would have someone contact me. After waiting 8 days and hearing nothing, I reached back out. I let them know I was disappointed that I hadn't heard anything. They gave me a similar (almost identical!), unhelpful response.

I can't believe it's taken me this much effort to get fair compensation for an order that was incorrect. If they would have offered me 6,000 points at the very start I would have taken it.

I'll never eat at Firehouse again based on the poor service. Mistakes I can understand. Not being willing to make it right is what frustrates me.

At this point, I'm now not just angry about the lunch that my daughter couldn't eat all of but also angry about the about of time I've spent.

At this point I think my only option is to go through the dispute process with my credit card company since Firehouse refuses to offer me acceptable compensation for their error.

I’ve been a loyal patron of this firehouse restaurant for years, and I always look forward to ordering their signature firehouse meatballs. However, during my visit today, I was disappointed to find that the meatballs were overcooked to the point of being dry and hard. They were charred, practically blackened, which was quite unappetizing.

The marinara sauce, typically a vibrant red, appeared to have been simmered for so long that it had turned an unappealing dark color, losing its familiar flavor and texture. It felt as though they had left the food sitting out for too long, likely because it didn't sell. Serving burned and subpar food not only tarnishes the restaurant’s reputation but can also drive away loyal customers. I understand that many of the young staff may not prioritize these details, but this kind of quality is how establishments ultimately lose their clientele.

Walked in to get something to eat and observed large amounts of water pouring out from the ceiling panels over the kitchen area right in the middle of the whole food prepping area and staff was still making and serving food water wasn't being contained in anyway. If it hadnt been so late in the evening I would have called the health department immediately. You cannot make and serve food in that situation under any circumstances. Definitely was a poor business decision and I'll never be back to that establishment. This was on 9/15/2024??

It's interesting that the taste of your sandwich changes so dramatically from one Firehouse Subs to the next. Our local one in Parkersburg used to be amazing until they were sold and the new owner started cutting corners. We used to visit there at least once or twice a week. Now we literally never go there but always try to stop at the Pickerington store as they do a fabulous job every single time. The Gahanna staff were wonderful, professional and friendly. The food was good and definitely better than Parkersburg but not quite as good as Pickerington. We will continue to frequent Firehouse Subs as we support fire and EMS and we know that we might hit a location where they're making the sandwiches the way we grew to expect them when the chain first opened.

The sandwiches are good, but it takes a RIDICULOUS amount of time for them to make them when they aren't even busy. I've regularly waited for 20 minutes for an Italian sub when there's more people working then there are customers in the place.

EDIT:
You would think after the wait I could've gotten a sandwich without pieces of plastic from packaging inside it. Unfortunately I don't have time to go back so I'll just throw it out. Also apparently double meat means quadruple ham and the same amount of everything else. 25$ and a 20 minute wait for a Italian large double meat sub, and I'm goin hungry. Super lame.

This location apparently is under new management and it shows. I got a medium sandwich and it was tiny. $9.49 for that? I don't think so.
