Been years since a visit. Staff was wonderful and great service. They were patient and took the time to talk about the selections. Love the new game area! They also have some of the nicest bathrooms. I know, random, but it matters.
Nice and clean place, was excited to try it around when I turned 21. My birthday was 9/24/2024. He wouldn't take my government issued documentation with my DOB of 9/24/2003, and a statement that said "under 21 until 9/24/2024" I came in on the 25th of September. The bartender had an attitude about it when I questioned him. Overall not a good experience, I understand it's a brewery but he was also initially upset that we wanted to try a couple mixed drinks with some beer before the whole ID ordeal happened. I went out drinking on my birthday and the next day and had 0 problems. Not sure what this guys issue was.
Went sunday afternoon.
A warm, large place. Very clean, including restrooms.
Got 2 flights, I recommend their sours. My favorite of them was the orange cream. I also really liked the pistachio cream ale - way more gentle and nuanced.
Service was excellent - lady was very helpful and tentative.
Game room is cool, but mostly pinball. I like the game I'm posting a vid of.
They have some of their art hanging - the print by dustin goebel is hanging on the wall. Really nice.
Didn't eat here but it looks like a limited menu. In addition, they do sell growlers as information.
Really liked it here. I'll definitely be back!
Great variety. Nothing is "average". Staff was great. You can purchase singles of anything they have "to go".
Update: Staff still great. Friendly and efficient. Went there on a Wednesday night. Might have been trivia night. Two tables with people, mine (was there to meet a friend) and another that had 8. The trivia DJ was blasting music to the point where it was hard to hear. It's a concrete space, so sound is not absorbed. Read the room! Turn it down so conversations can happen.
A wider than usual selection of beers for a tap room. I only got one flight, sadly. About 20 beers, with 6 IPAs. I have a special place in my heart for Heart State Brews, which is the scaled up cousin of Nowhere in Particular, a punk rock gypsy brewery. The venue is kind of bare bones. They are upgrading the kitchen. They know how to weaponize an IPA, and I’m loyal to the brewer for that.
We loved Homestead and went when it was in Heath. We are loving this beer selection now that they bought Heart State. It was our first time here and can’t wait to come back. They do offer a limited food menu too! They have a huge room with loads of pinball and games. You can run in and grab beer to go from their large cooler selections. They have a large sitting area that’s clean and comfortable. If you aren’t familiar with their beer, get a flight! They had so much I wanted to try that it was best for me to do a flight! They offer a couple non-alcoholic beers as well which is great for. I’m drinkers or designated drivers.
Super disappointed. We LOVED Homestead and were so excited to try Heart State. We planned to have drinks and dinner and hang out and play all the games they have available. When we arrived, we were told the pizza oven was broken and they only had a limited menu. We got a drink and went to the game room where we found the pool table was out of order. And then the pinball machine stole our money. It's a $1 so no big deal but just another disappointing moment.
Went back to the bar for a second drink and inquired about the food. At this point we were told it was just pretzels. We ordered something in a can and walked away to look at merch. We went back to find the bartender looking at the drink menu and the liquors trying to figure out how to make our drink. We had to point out that it was a canned item. And then our checks weren't right.
We'll give it another try after awhile but definitely felt like it is missing the chance to be really cool.
Been here a couple times with friends. The staff is friendly but the food menu is small and taste wise it is hit miss. I will say the bbq chicken wrap was good. Sliders and pretzels are terrible. I don't drink beer but my friends tried various ones and seem to like most of them. On our first visit we played slingo with MoonDogz and it was Michael Jackson night. Moondog (Ben I believe) was super cool. It started fun but got a little boring by the end. There are not a lot of tables, so need to get there early if going on slingo night. They also have a big pinball rooom
Not great. Stopped in on a whimLove trying Ohio beers since I'm from Ohio. Owner? Didn't seem very enthusiastic, kinda blah personality. Could have been distracted but if that's your bread and butter you really need to sell your product, AND yourself.Had a flight, only 2 of them were actually good. The Shandy was awful. Tasted more like a sour, very Lemon Head Candy tasting. Not a fan. The other bartender offered me a margarita beer instead, it wasn't great either and she seemed to go be distracted by the male employees.Sadly can't recommend
Cool space, 3 stars for a great hang. Love the pinball and spacious feel. Very average beer, the pizza tasted like red baron or tombstone but not as good. Skip the “Italian” pizza with lettuce? and tomato

First time here to try food. I go up to the bar and I'm standing there for awhile the girl keeps looking at me then walking away, group of guys walks up to the bar and she takes there order, I was standing there for a long time. So I just walk back to my seat and not order anything not even a drink y'all don't deserve my money at all. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
Beer was amazing, beertender was super nice and the pinball room kept us occupied while having a few beers. Definitely a must visit if your in the neighborhood. The orange sour is a must try.
They have a variety pack of stouts that are delicious. Red ale is solid as well. Lots of games on the game room.
Held my wife's birthday party at Heart State last week and it worked out perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, and the buffet table was never empty/neglected. Turned a lot of newcomers on to HSB! Great spot for gatherings or just to hang.
Ben the server/bartender was extremely friendly and accommodating to our travel hockey team. Super family friendly with the game room space and menu. Beer selection and cocktails were well loved too! Thank you!
