This is still a great place to get some spicy chicken... But it definitely is not what it started as... As a person who still remembers this place as basically a pop up start-up restaurant I miss the (pardon the pun) good ol days when the meat seemed better than the competition. The attention to detail felt personal and you prayed that they didn't 86 something for the day! With expansion comes change however we must remember what brought us to the point of success.

Today 06/19/25 at 11:30am, I came in with my family. The lady at the front was extremely rude and had a terrible attitude. Poor customer service. I asked for an extra ranch and she acted as if I was asking for a favor or a free meal. She handed me my ordered and I asked her if what she was handing me was everything in my order, again, with a dirty look and bad tone responded “yea.” I did not address her poor customer service directly with her because I had my kids with me and I didn’t want her to have a bad reaction in front of my kids. And to top it all off she brought out overcooked chicken that was difficult to bite and cut. I’m a small business owner and I know how important it is to have employees demonstrate good customer service.

Can't beat this place for Nashville style chicken. Their idea of warm is many people's idea of hot here in Ohio. Get the drumsticks, they are the best offering in my opinion. The crunch is amazing.

The manager Tawanda is an amazing person.This was our first time eating at hot chicken takeover. We enjoyed the food, but it was Tawanda’s friendly, professional, compassionate nature, that will be the reason we come back. I hope you recognize what a treasure and asset she is for your company

The girl running the front was beyond RUDE !! We will NEVER order from here again for lunch ...doesn't matter how good the food is ...the service was despicable...I've NEVER been treated so poorly by an establishment that is supposed to thrive on service

We love HCT. The best one hands down is Gahanna location for lunch. Employee Stephanie always takes care of our whole crew when we come for lunch. She gives us a big greeting when we arrive and the food under her watch is fantastic.
I haven’t had HCT for a very long time and had a craving for it tonight. Idk what changed in a year in a half but the food was AWFUL! For years, the macaroni was the talk of the town and it was dry, barely and cheese. Green beans were bland. Chicken was okay. It was so bad I had to throw the beans and macaroni away and I HATE wasting food and money. I think that was my last of HCF. ?

They had a change in ownership. Thought I’d still give it a try, only thing that still taste the same is the “sauce”. Chicken taste cheap and nothing like how it used to, such a shame too cause I would spend that $$$ for that quality but not when it switched up and ruined itself. Don’t waste your money here.
