Food is tasteless. Sushi is Room Temperature and the rice is mushy.
I’d rather eat grocery store sushi.

This restaurant is not affiliated with the other Mr Sushi, and they do not have the same menu. We tried several different sushi rolls and found some interesting. The Sweetheart and Idaho rolls were standouts for us on this trip. My stepson really liked his Teriyaki Surf and Turf meal but I really didn't care for the salad dressing.
Vegetarian options: There are some tasty vegetarian options like the Idaho roll.

When I got home the sushi looked old like they were getting rid of the only stuff they had left. Super disappointing! They were closed by the time I got home so I was stuck with this for dinner.

Without a doubt, this is the best sushi place in Columbus. This is a sushi bar with extra Japanese food available rather than a Japanese restaurant with an option of some sushi.
The sushi is extremely creative and absolutely delicious. The first time I ordered a Firestone roll and they set a plate next to me before lighting it on fire, I was utterly blown away, even more so after taking a bite and feeling like I literally just took it off a campfire. Plus this place puts sweet potato in some rolls! Like what? It has zero business working and yet, it just does.
The sushi is incredibly fresh, nothing has that somewhat stale taste of something made in bulk an hour before opening like other places that serve sushi has.
My only complaint is that sometimes, the servers will be inattentive and let my drink be empty for a little longer than it should but this is such a minor complaint.
10/10, I come here every single time I have to run to BJs just up the road.

I’ve lived in Columbus for 3 years now and it’s hard to find a good sushi place. This one so far is better than the other sushi places I’ve been to in the east side of Columbus. And is super affordable.

The first time that I was here, and it seemed like it’s just an ordinary Japanese restaurant. It turns out that the food was amazing. I had the three musketeers roll, and it was amazing. Like you guys have to try it. To me, it’s an ordinary restaurant, but it has elevated food. I for sure will come here more and more. This restaurant deserves more hype!!!!

Mr. Sushi is a culinary gentleman! Had three rolls, Buckeye🔥, Dragon, and something referencing a fireman. They were all delicious! I was sad to see them all disappear. The service was super friendly. I am a fan of this man! Check em out!
This is by far the best sushi in central Ohio. Able, fresh fish, atmosphere… everything you want out of a good sushi place. And the prices are VERY reasonable for Columbus. Big portions, big hearts. This place is the best.

Food a little slow, excellent once it arrived. Restaurant looks like it's under new management. The "4 star*rating under service only because slow, waiter kept our glasses full while we waited. Checked on us multiple times.
