This was our first time trying this restaurant cause we heard from our church that this was a good place to eat. It was a bit crowded and loud on one side of the diner and other side was a little more roomer and we could hear each other talk. The server was very good and friendly, she even explain the pictures on the wall (we enjoyed looking at them) which was very interesting. The food wasn't bad either but the management was Very rude.

I meet friends for dinner monthly ai our traditional spot near by but we ended up on a different day and that spot was closed. I will say I was not disappointed the meal was really good, the heater in the ceiling will make you shed layers. It's going to be a tough decision next month.

As a local, have been coming here for weekend breakfast for 15+ and despite the area’s population growth (ie. Longer waits) this place is still an absolute gem. Great food, small town mom & pop ambiance and great service. All the staff are great but, if you’re lucky enuff to get Jennifer or Megan as your servers, you will be treated A+. One recent bad experience was via Sarah who literally yelled at us for missing our “table ready” text message and was rude otherwise (a trend with this greeter we were confided) but, that one instance will never diminish the small town diner magic that is GD!

My son and I stopped here to eat while looking for apartments in the area. So glad we did, the food was amazing! I'm still raving about the Autumn Harvest salad! My son said his chicken sandwich was the bomb. We ordered to go because I had my puppy dog and their outdoor seating, was taken up by skeletons lol lol. But no worries, there was a cute little courtyard across the street with a picnic table, perfect!

My son said his chicken sandwich was the bomb! I pray my son moves in the area so we can frequent the diner on my visits!
Have not been here since early this year (when we about froze to death in lower level). They were having doors replaced, girl wanted to seat me right where they were working. Insisted on a different table. Ordered traditional breakfast, when it arrived everything was piled onto one plate. Toast was piled on top! Had to flag waitress to get 2nd plate. Lady beside me had same problem, food hanging off side of the plate, she wasn’t happy. They seem to want to go out of business with higher prices, poo service and food was just okay. This used to be a favorite but no more. Waste of gas to drive here! Sad.

Had a wonderful lunch with my wife today. Our food and service was quick and friendly. My wife had the Walleye and I had Corned Beef Hash and Cheesy Scrambled Eggs. Both were excellent choices! Update: More photos added. Brisket Hash Benedict & Chicken Biscuits with gravy, Monday Seafood Platter, Chicken Cashew Salad, Meatloaf Sandwich, Fish Sandwich. Five Stars!
