Wednesday nite we went an hour before closing. We were worried that it may be too late, but they said to come on in. I ordered a Kansas City burger, junior sized. Even tho it was JUNIOR, it was huge. I took home leftovers. Meat is cooked to order and the fries are fresh cut, similar to fair fries. My husband ordered similar, but no leftovers for him. We had several drinks from the bar, they have specialty drinks and beer. We love this place, its on the square in Galena and easy parking.

If you like hamburgers this is the place to go. The service is good. Looks like a college hangout, dark and loud. Menu is varied with items other than hamburgers. But the selections of burgers is huge. French fries are fresh cut. Prices are normal to high depending on what you order.
Food is good - I had the Thurman burger which was good but I will try something different next time Hubs had pizza burger which was good We also tried the Reuben balls - very good People are nice Ambiance is similar Thurman It's a bar but ok for kids too.

Husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak, and he said it was not good at all! He said it was called a Thurman Delphia. It tasted like the bun was dunked in dirty fryer oil then grilled. The meat tasted like it was something they got that had been sitting around in the back of the freezer. I got the fried onion straws and the fried banana peppers you can’t go wrong with that. Tables were sticky. We’ve been here a few times but will not be back again.
