Very nice place. However I had to wait for over an hour for an omelette. It appears to me that the kitchen is the problem, they have plenty of wait staff, but I got a peek into the kitchen and I saw only 4 workers in there. Not matter how good the food is, if the customer doesn’t get it in a reasonable amount of time, then the whole place suffers from poor service. I don’t think I will ever be going back there again anytime soon.

This cozy little spot is the kind of place you almost don’t want to share because it’s that good… but food this delicious deserves to be celebrated!
I started with the fried green tomatoes, and let me just say — wow. Perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. They were seasoned just right, and the dipping sauce that came with them took it to another level. Easily some of the best I’ve ever had, and an absolute must-try.
For my main dish, I had the hamburger salad, and it was just as impressive. It came out fresh, loaded with toppings, and had that perfect balance of juicy beef and crisp greens. It was hearty without being too heavy, and I loved every bite. It’s a great option if you’re looking for something a little lighter but still packed with flavor.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere at The Whistle Stop is just as inviting. There’s a friendly, small-town charm that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind and you can tell they take pride in what they do and care about their customers.
This place is the definition of a hidden gem — unassuming from the outside, unforgettable once you’ve been. I’ll absolutely be back, and I’ll be recommending it to anyone I know heading through Galion. Whether you're a local or just visiting, The Whistle Stop is a must-stop!

Interesting spot in rural Ohio. If you want the old town feel when dining, this is your spot! Named after the whistle stop in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes (they also sold them), this place has nice and friendly service and the food was good! All that for a pretty good price, and I would definitely eat here again!
