Worse wedding guest experience ever, I enjoyed my time at the wedding great venue but I had an issue with a server , I didn’t get her name but she had red hair and wore glasses, and a headband with beads. She looked around late 30s early 40s. She was very rude to me and my wife the entire night.

We’ve been photographing weddings for 15 years, and every once in a while, a venue comes along that truly takes your breath away. Darby House is one of those rare places. From the moment you turn onto the winding road leading to the house and grounds, you feel like you’re stepping into a storybook with the anticipation building at every curve, and the view when you arrive is simply stunning.

Inside, the numerous windows let in gorgeous natural light, creating a warm, soft glow that makes every photo feel alive. The river behind the property adds a serene, romantic backdrop, and there are so many beautiful spots tucked throughout the grounds for portraits and candid moments.

What makes Darby House even more special is the staff, who are friendly, attentive, and make the day run smoothly without ever being intrusive. My team loves photographing here because the property naturally inspires joy, connection, and creativity — it’s a place where every wedding feels truly unforgettable!

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Darby House last weekend (10/25). This was my first time getting to experience this venue and WOW! I was absolutely blown away by the location. It's absolutely stunning, with beautiful suites to get ready in, a warm and inviting reception space, and a gorgeous outdoor ceremony location on the patio. The day of coordinator was so welcoming and kind, always around to help if we had any questions, and the set up for the day was breathtaking! 10/10 recommend this venue!

I had the joy of being a photographer for a wedding at Darby House this spring, and it was an incredible experience. The vendor team, coordinators and couple were kind, responsive and great with communication. Darby House is a lovely space with so many beautiful locations for photos! Highly recommend.

The place is beautiful with alot of great spaces. The food, drinks and everything else that goes into a great event were all very good. And everyone I interacted with was friendly and heloful.

Very nice venu on a beautiful creek. Staff was great. Food and cake was very good. Bar service was excellent. The whole experience was great. This is also a mini museum for the Galbreath family and all their accomplishments in horse racing and Professional baseball. Very interesting memorabilia especially the note from Queen Elisabeth!

We celebrated our wedding at Darby House in September 2023, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The venue itself is stunning, and Nicole was so patient with all of our questions and requests, ensuring that our day ran smoothly. The grounds provided so many beautiful backdrops for our photos, and the ambiance, service, food (courtesy of Berwick), and sparkler send-off were some of the highlights of our big day!For couples considering the venue, here are a few points to keep in mind without overshadowing the positive experience:Although the newly renovated bridal suites are gorgeous, the full-day rental starting at noon will likely not provide enough time for larger bridal parties to complete hair and makeup on-site. Having earlier access to the bridal suite could make the day-of experience even more seamless.Additionally, there is a requirement to serve liquor with a mixer, limiting cocktail options such as Manhattans and Martinis. While this might not be a concern for everyone, it's something to keep in mind if you have specific preferences for your wedding beverages.Another consideration is reliable transportation, as there is spotty cell reception for ridesharing apps. If you plan on arranging buses for transportation, be aware that they must be on the smaller side (~20-30 passenger) to navigate the driveway, adding a small extra planning step.Despite these considerations, the uniqueness of the venue and the exceptional service from the Darby House team make it worth every moment. Thank you so much to Nicole and the Darby House Team for a memorable wedding day!
