The Florentine Restaurant

The food was good but the service was poor. Three waitresses waited on our party of 5. Normally I would think that was good but none of them knew what the other was doing so we had to repeat things to get any service.

As for speed in food coming out, there was only one speed, slower than heck. We waited over an hour for our food and then when the first plate came out it was wrong. It took roughly 15 minutes to get the final plate (mine). There was no reason for a service like that because by that time they had plenty of staff to bring all the food at once. Two trips maybe, five trips was absurd.

We won't be going back due to the service.

We placed an order for pick up. Said our food would be ready at 8:29p. Our food came out at 9:07p. 10min after the app texted and said the order was ready. We understand during the holidays you might be understaffed, so we were patient and fine with it taking longer. However, you could have at least acknowledged us and shown a little bit of hospitality. The bartender never asked us if we wanted a drink, even to pay for, let alone offering a complementary one because of the wait. No one ever came to us to say sorry it’s taking so long, thanks for waiting. Just be polite. Even in the end when she brought us our food - never said sorry for the wait…just said here you go. Just not very friendly or courteous. And, for the wait, the food was okay. Won’t revisit.

Arrived at 6:30 pm on Tuesday
Very poor light, no table candles, had to use my phone flashlight to read the menu. Food was good but served cold. The waitress brought the salad and steak to the table together, so the steak was ice cold after I ate my salad. She didn't clear the appetizer plates or soup bowls, said they didn't have any rolls or bread to serve. She also didn't bring the taco Tuesday menu and we were left with the main dinner menu. The cold ribeye steak was not trimmed, thin and loaded with too much fat and grissel. Never going back !

Yes, you might have to wait longer for meals that are made to order. We did not have to wait, but I wanted to preface this notation based on other reviews.

The brussel sprouts are so good and I'm glad my friend ordered them for sharing.

I'm not a burger in a restaurant person, but after seeing the pictures I knew I would make an exception for this establishment.

My BYO Mule was phenomenal and I will be making this build at home going forward. My Hefe was everything a Hefe should be.

My friend also ordered the German Chocolate cake and holy cow. It's big enough for 2-4 people. I was too full to try her dessert

This old gem has so much character and untold history.

My mushroom swiss smashburger was outstanding, as was the french onion soup. Our server, Marisa, was effecient and charming. We'll be back.

Awesome experience celebrating our wedding anniversary! Micah, our server was so helpful and pleasant. Although pricey, the filet was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Melts in your mouth and perfectly cooked! Well worth it. Salmon was top notch as well!!

Nice classic restaurant that's been in the community for over two centuries. The food was good and the atmosphere is very nice. Handicapped accessible and out waitress told us the place is haunted - so appropriate for this Halloween season! Worth a stop if you're in the area!
