My wife and I was on a Kayaking trip and stopped in for a few drinks. We was treated very well. I would most certainly go back when in the area.

Almost $9 for 3 ground beef tacos?! Not even steak or carne asada? Probably the lamest Mexican restaurant around, no doubt!

I had just gotten engaged, and my fiancĆ© and I went out to eat here to celebrate. The service was slow because they only had one server, which I understood. I ordered the barbacoa tacos, rice and beans. We didn’t get complimentary chips and salsa which is the first Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in my life that didn’t have this which was very odd to me. When we finally got our food, I was not impressed at all by the taste. As I was eating my tacos, I found a literal hair in my food. I was grossed out and when the server came by she had asked if I was done and I explained that I found a long hair in my food. She didn’t apologize, ask if they could make me a new one, offer a discount on the bill- nothing. Her response was just asking ā€œso do you want me to take your plate away?ā€. I didn’t expect a discount, but to not even acknowledge how gross that is and apologize? Horrible customer service. We will never be going there again, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone. It was the worst celebration of our engagement that should have been such an amazing dinner celebration.

Fernando’s is the perfect place to meet friends for a delicious meal and fantastic margaritas. They are so welcoming and make everyone feel like family.

The tamales are top top notch. Everything, you can tell, is handmade. Really good. Quaint family owned place that’s WELL worth getting to.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! Reading some of these reviews reminds me of the good old days when I dealt with difficult customers. Some people are experts at spewing nonsense. Good riddance to the haters; more margaritas and tamales for me please! I got the pleasure of personally meeting Fernando, his wife, and his adorable daughter who just has the cutest little dimples! Not to mention this place is the real deal; the family is as authentic as the food. Order the enchiladas and tamales! I do recomend having a driver if you plan on having more than two margaritas 🄓 Tell them Stephanie sent ya!
