We had the cranberry walnut salad and the BLT with mojitos. We did not have a reservation and everything was timely and delicious. Very excellent family and staff.Vegetarian options: My salad came with chicken but you can order any salad without it

Aquila was being hit on by another table but still could not and did not bother to break the dialogue she had going with that table to take our order twice she chose to avoid asking us if we wanted to order so we left. Usually a great experience

First visit. I loved the cute patio seating with the lovely view and flowers around. My salad was fresh and chicken was grilled perfectly, not dry. Presentation was nice and service was friendly. I recommend this restaurant and will return.

LaRoes offers old-world charm and wonderful food in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed having lunch on the patio, which offered picturesque views of the Maumee River, park, and flowers. The food was excellent and so was the service. We will definitely be back next time we are in Grand Rapids, OH.

Loved the service! We were seated but a patio seat opened up so they let us know right away. Food was great, great service with an awesome staff. We really loved their soup?

This was my first time trying out this restaurant and was not disappointed. The lobster bisque was delicious! We sat out back on the patio where we had a beautiful view of the river. Will be going back soon.

My server, Tina and the bartender were very friendly and very cool. The inside decor is really interesting in a good way. I got the fish sandwich and it was much larger than I expected it to be. It was good for a small town restaurant, but not great. I’d come back here, the service was top notch.

Food was wonderful. Staff very friendly. Ordered one of the daily specials for $11.99 pulled pork with soup. I had French onion and my mom had mushroom soup. Also, my pulled pork was bread less due to celiac...and amazing! Owner of store across street suggested fried green appetizers...delicious!!! Wish we had made reservations for patio (I would highly recommend) as it looked nice.

Service, atmosphere and quality (& price) make this restaurant enjoyable. It's obvious as they have been in business for many years.

A great historic place to visit, and rhe town is quaint and interesting. The restaurant was built in the mid 1840's and is a wonderful place to explore as well as the town and surrounding area.

Perfect end to a day....well worth the drive from West Toledo to Grand Rapids mea ndering via country roads and driving back up the other side of the river.

We once again visited Grand Rapids only to find that LaRoe's was closed once again due to staffing issues. They are closed on Saturday and Sundays, I would think that many people visit the town on the weekends as we did this past Saturday. There were two other restaurants open in town, apparently they are not suffering from staffing issues or if they, are they have found away to get through it while remaining open. This began with Covid and unfortunately for some businesses it continues even though Covid is no longer a thing. Hopefully the restaurant will get past its staffing issue and reopen on the weekends. The times we have been to the restaurant things were good.

Order the cranberry walnut salad. It was very good. You should also try the Maumee Brewing Root Beer. It is an excellent drink to take with you.

We stopped at la Roe’s for a quick lunch and were very surprised by the service, and the quality of food. Lobster bisquet was great, so fish and chips. The terrace is very nice and I recommend to take a walk in the park adjacent to Maumee river.
