Ray Ray's Hog Pit Granville

Ok so I never ever like to write a negative review and this one is not negative, it's just my own personal take on this resturant. I am nowhere a BBQ expert but I have had good BBQ and maybe it was an off night....but this was not it. It is my 1st time at Ray Ray's for me and my fiancée. I really wanted this to be so good because of the reviews and waht I have heard. We got the meat plater with Brisket, jerk chicken, pulled pork and ribs and cornbread. The brisket was dry, the jerk chicken could have been duck and i wouldn't have known then difference because all i tasted was sauce. The ribs had soooooo much dry rub on them it was like eating pure salt the hot links tasted like something other than sausage to me, didnt like that at all. No pop in the casing and was mushy. We each took one bite and put them down. The pulled pork was actually really good and the cornbread was the star of the show. None of the meat was pull of the bone or pull apart tender. Again maybe it was an off night but for $50 I expected better than Smokey Bones BBQ. The service and atmosphere was great. Just being honest. I do recommend you give it a try , maybe that what authentic BBQ tasted like but just not for me..

Pretty much serving left overs. Used to be nice and fresh just constant decline in quality every year. Ordered a meat sweats and the brisket is so dry and old looking. Feel like it was cut days ago, dry ice seasoned fries. 70$ worst meal in a while

We always have a great time when we go. The service is above and beyond, and the food is amazing!!!

Brisket and meats were cooked very well. We ordered baked beans and sauces to accompany our brisket. Both of these items were not included in our order at pickup. I called in to let them know. They told me whoever took our order on the phone did not include the baked beans, and said it was their bad for not including any sauce with the brisket. All I got was a “that was our bad. Sorry. Have a nice day”. This was our first time ever ordering from Ray Rays, and it would have made me want to come back for a second time if they had offered a future discount on our next order for the inconvenience.

The meats had a great mouthfeel, but if you want a satisfactory meal, I would make them read your order back to you before paying, and then you need to check the accuracy of every single item in your bag before driving away.

Blows any BBQ from Memphis out of the water, coming from a Memphis local. The pulled pork sandwich was phenomenal, with many choices of sauces to go alongside. Each side is generous and delicious, with the option of extra pickles and pickled onions always present. The restaurant itself feels like home and the staff inside were friendly and very accommodating. I will be returning anytime I find myself in the area, and my only regret is returning back to Memphis because I won't be able to have Ray Rays there.

Stopped in for lunch parents weekend with my daughter and family. Excellent brisket sandwich. Ribs were fantastic. Mac and cheese Delicious! Homemade. Just found out they take student meal passes too.

First visit to Ray Ray's. Their BBQ was delicious. So tender it falls off the bone. The smoke on the meat was perfect. The sauces are so well blended, just a beautiful accent. I found my new favorite BBQ place.

INCREDIBLE. I’ve been to BBQ places all over the country and never would’ve guessed a local joint in Granville Ohio would have some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Sides were all delicious too. Bonus points for the decorating!! Just go. You won’t be disappointed!!

First time here and I was beyond impressed. The food is outstanding and the service is also. Everyone here goes above and beyond and the trip here from Delaware was well worth it and will be made again and again. I have had BBQ in many regions of the US and this place is one of the best!!
